Thank you so much Sir 79 Bruiser! No need to rush it tonight, any time will work for me. I'm terribly Sorry but I just found out the 2 measurements that I thought I had correct, are Wrong! It's the overall Width of the camper (outside to outside) & the length of the lower part of the camper that sits in the trucks bed, from the lower-front (closest to the front of the trucks bed) rearward, to just after the trucks tail-gate, right where the camper drops down a little bit lower than the area/portion that sits in the trucks bed. As far as measuring-accuracy goes, within an inch, give or take, is fine as I'll be "fudging numerous things" anyway. If you can please get these without risking yourself (or any helper), I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks again!

I tried posting these measurements last night, but for some reason it wouldn't let me. I don't have them with me now. I will try again when I get home today.

Thank you so much! No worries, whenever you can get to it, I know "normal life" always comes first. All is good.

Ah ha...seems like we are getting a little stirring here on the forum..awesome....

67Avion...sorry to hear about your window...you seem to have some challenging incidents on your trips...We need to see about anointing you with some of that Jamaican Rum,to get rid of that guzu that follows you around, for that matter we may have to spill a little on the floor of the Avion too.

Now that we have some action here...I have disposed of my 3500 dodge,(not sure why)..I now have a Tundra, I am in the process of codifying a 12' car hauler to carry my 65 C10....

Am I going to be treated like the red head stepchild?
Will I be doing a disservice to the Avion lovers?

I am having difficulty envisioning what it will look like.

Rasta, it sounds like the Avion will look like a red headed stepchild. In fact, that might be an interesting color scheme. But, I'll personally stand up for your right to remain an Avionista.

Thanks...I will need all the support i can get...
I just didnt want a diesel truck anymore...and wanted something a little more nimble. the tundra cant carry the avion but it can tow it. Its either a trailer ride, or get rid of it..which i really dont want to do....I have yet to use it.

I wouldn't exactly call a '70 C-30 2.5 ton dually Chevy truck "nimble", but to me it was and it handled pretty good considering the weight of a "loaded" C-11 camper bolted & chained to the frame. Having some pretty low gears (originally for a 14' flatbed "delivery truck") made acceleration & hill climbing a breeze as well as the 350, 4bbl, turbo-400 drive train. I so wish I had better photos since it was sold years ago.

Yea! I got a photo on here by using my Google account (& the "Photos" app), uploading it there from my PC, clicking on it opening it in a new tab, right clicking it & choosing "copy image location", opening a new blank tab and right clicking the address bar & choosing "paste and go", then copying the URL from the address bar in that browser tab, pasting said link into the yellow-colored image" thing here (using the "Advanced Post Form" for all of it above), and presto, it worked! That sure sounds complicated, but I've done similar stuff all the time right clicking images I want to save, etc.

Correction, The image above was NOT taken somewhere in an "unimproved" (former?) state park/campground in Big Sur (CA) along PCH (Hwy 1) many years ago, although we did stay overnight there. Giant redwoods surrounded us and it was so beautiful, as was the whole trip & drive from Carmel south to orange county.
Looking at a different photo of the rear, I noticed I had power hooked up, water, and sewage. Now I'm not sure where or what campground this was, but it was in CA somewhere, likely Carpinteria State Beach?

For some unexplained reason,, all my Photobucket pictures that disappeared a while back are back on line today.

I checked this thread and it appears they are back here too.

What's going on?

I have made it my occupation to hassle Photobucket since their bizarre decision. I really don't know if it mattered since they have been harrassed by thousands if not millions. But, I'm hearing that there has been some sort of breakthrough. Don't mistake me, I don't trust it. But, I'm seeing my old photos too. We'll see.

Google/bing "photobucket news"-

Yes- The CEO has been replaced-pricing restructured...might be to little too late but for all the forums and archives across the web, at least for the time being, good news.

Recent news- and pb site still shows the ransom fees- but the speedo pic is GONE.
All photos that were blocked are now unlocked and can be seen.

Long term I'm not sure how they are going to deal with existing photos linked and not 'break' the internet again.
