Garry and 67, you are right - I missed the "aluminum" part of the question...
Sorry...

The Tempro 635 is grey , close to faded anodize . Both Parbond and Tempro are compatible with aluminum and good products . Be aware that Tempro does have a shelf life of less than a year ,according to manufacturer , not sure about Parbond , so don't over order . I have used unopened tubes more than 2 years old and found no problem , YMMV [emoticon]

Howdy!
I know yall already know Tempro for wide and Parabond for narrow.
Keep those babies in the Frig, and they'll last a while more.

Dont yall just love the bike rack, aw vision is over rated! Lots of TCers do it this
way. It really isnt that bad.
I have a back porch, like Garry got me to do a while back with his dreams,
so I dont have space back there.

The heaters problem was a air lock, finding a way to easily fill
the heat exchanger without air bubbles is tough.

Sorry I've been away for so long, lots of life changes have been taking place.

The school I was going to attend (and when I was going to full-time it in the Avion) never returned my calls or e-mails.

I then started a new career as a Sheriff's Deputy and have been staying really busy with that. I went through the law enforcement academy, and I'm about to finish up my field training. Best part is, I work 14 days a month.

I'm also about to buy 7.4 acres of land and I should be able to get started back on the Avion soon.

I didn't forget about the group, I'm looking forward to getting started again and hopefully getting it finished up!

Its that time of year whereby I get my prized Avion back up to speed. You may recall that I managed to tear into the roof late last Spring. We got started on the repairs in late summer, but things came up and we put it aside. Now we are closing the gap.

Here you can see that we are working with the last panel that is located in the center...and its where the running lights are located.

Here is the panel ready to be inserted with the cut-outs already made. It is pre-drilled for the rivets.

We are missing the Texas Truck Camper rally this year because we spent the entire winter and Spring campaigning when we should have been camping. If anyone out there plans to run for office take a deep breath and give me a call. Truck camping and campaigning don't mix well.

I have a lot of work to do with Torklift to fix my suspension correctly and make my towing a lot safer. I'll let you know how that works out.

Howdy!
Okay y'all I can't take the silence anylonger. I really miss y'all! There I said it. What's happened to the all aluminum rebuild? Where are the others at in your projects? No Alaska updates?
I was riding along and found a brother in of all places Rockport, Texas. There he was, pretty as you please and a rider too. No being jacked up on bricks in high grass either.
Does anyone know this one?

Hey Cajun. Yes its been very quiet in our Avion community. I think that the rebuilds have taken a toll and people need some time off. That Avion is from a brother with a different mother. Did you get a chance to ask about it?

Well, I took the wraps off of the 67 recently and went to work on the roof repair. We finished several days ago. I still have to get the Dremel out and shape the rivets so they aren't sticking out so much.

We had to unzip the entire top of the coach as you can see from the shinier aluminum. and we had to remove all of the molding above the windows and doors. We also had to punch holes for the lights.

I am unsure of how the electrical system made it through the winter. I assumed (right - ASSUMED) that my solar panel would keep the batteries charged. I was not seeing any charge in the led panel, but then I put a 110V into the system and things appear to be working. But not everything...maybe half of the interior lighting - which doesn't have anything to do with the batteries. Oh well. Its beautiful weather and I can donk around the electrical system a bit.

On the interior of the coach, in the bathroom and just above the back door, are the repairs with fiberglass. this is where the beams went straight through and tore out the interior. I am sanding and experimenting with paint to see if I can mimic the original Zolatone.

Another issue was the bed split. Here you can take a look at it.

I plan to repair it with wood and screws plus some fiberglass.

I managed to gum up the exterior with duct tape. If anyone has any good ideas how to remove this let me know.

Finally, I have agreed to work with Torklift to try their products and report back. I intend to write to you guys about my experiences of course. That'll be coming up in the next month or so.

Onward!
