Am I mistaken, or did I see a pretty detailed wiring schematic on the forum recently? Would really love to find a complete one for our 66 C-10, if one is available for copying or download. Also, this may be a rather goofy question, but is there a difference between the red and black wiring used on the Avions? I thought maybe they used the red for the dc wiring, but that doesn't seem to be the case, so maybe I'm totally out to lunch on this subject. Thanks, gang.
My Avion had red duplex aluminum wiring. If that is what you have, the side with the serrations (lines) should be positive, but they messed up a couple of times on mine. It made it a real pain to figure out. I wrapped the positive side with black tape so I don't have to figure it out next time, if there is a next time. LOL

Tony, I have the operators and service manual for the 68-69 in PDF. it has the wiring diagram for that model, which may relate to the issues that you are discussing. I can email it to you. Just PM me and I'll send it along.
Here is a quick peek at the diagram from the manual.

Itt is also on pages 18 and 19 of this thread, as well as many pictures.
That is what I used when sorting out my wiring of my 1966 C10. My c10 was gutted, and no marking etc... So some of it was trial and error...

Thanks, Garry.
This will hopefully give me a starting point, then ring out the circuits with a multimeter. As I said in an earlier post, the running lights pigtail is very corroded and tough to trace, and the 12vdc lighting and interior system is very unfamiliar territory to me. At least I now have some sort of idea what is supposed to be where, sort of. lol. Well, we'll see where we can go from here.
Thanks, again.
See y'all on the roads, or in the parks.

Let's see if I remember how to post pics Yesterday I completed the installation of wood on the passenger side wing. Hopefully here's a pic of what it looks like.

Third time is a charm ! Anyway I was able to stuff 1 1/4 " of plywood in there it is tight and VERY strong. The structural 2 x 4 has four coats of marine varnish on it and is embedded in Polyseamseal which is an adhesive caulk. After taking these pics I put down a coat of Verathane oil based stain in honey oak it is fairly close to the factory color. Later today a coat of marine varnish and tomorrow another coat of varnish. Most of this is not seen once you install the cabinets but I wanted it to look good in the areas you can see it and more importantly protect against future leaks. Overall I am happy with the results now will tear into the drivers side and see how that looks. I imagine when I thru bolt my Stable Lift top plate she will basically be a tank !
