Garry, that looks like something you could use?? No? Dennis, I've never laid eyes on them before. Were they available for all of the coaches? I wonder if there are any floating around.

Well, anniversary or no, you guys inspired me to get out in the heat today and drill the holes in the rear tie-down angle iron for eyebolts. So, rear is done, will start measuring, cutting, and welding iron for the front tomorrow.
Water system appears to be fully functional. Electric/lighting is ongoing project.
Starting to believe we might actually get on the road.
See y'all on the roads, or in the parks.

I wouldn't have known abt. them if mine didn't have them.
Went through all the original paperwork I have looking for a mention of them but no luck.
I did come across the original warranty on the camper, get this, lifetime warranty !

I noticed along the edge of the frame, not the storm insert but the part that screws to the wall, Hehrc567 221 200.

After looking at these, it appears they were a C-11 item not a C-10 item. The inside frames for the C-10 only have the groove on the back for the screen. It may be possible to add the thumb-screw turns of the appropriate size to be able to hold a piece of plexiglass to the C-10's aluminum frame. I just don't know how much it would help without being able to seal the air from entering, though when we camped in the winter, and I used Aluminum duct seam tape to hold the aluminum bubble wrap insulation to the window frames, it worked fairly well to keep us from freezing while camping in 9 below zero weather....

Tony, I understand that you have a gunsmithing business that you tow behind the Avion. I'm betting that is one sensational combination. This is the week of the ATA Grand American trap shooting championships at nearby Sparta, Illinois. We always attend this event that draws some 20,000 shooters from all over the world. Seems like that would be a natural for your business. Maybe you can make it next year.
69Cayo. A "lifetime warranty"? That is amazing.

This for a 66-67 C-10

And this is for a 69 C-11

So apparently they had storms for the C-10 also .
Kind of ironic that the only one of us that have them is in Florida .

Hi guys -
This is what I was asking about before. The dried up dark sealant along the lap seams. It is very hard to remove, and I am thinking of just leaving it along most seams and coating everything with a line of Parbond.
What would you do?

I don't think there's any easy way of doing it, very tedious work.
Pick an area not so noticeable and "play" with different scrapers, picks and solvent until you get something that works for you.
I used a set of these http://www.harborfreight.com/4-piece-pick-and-hook-set-66836.html along with a very flexible scraper/putty knife that I sanded smooth, no sharp corners.
Xylene to clean what didn't chip off.

67avion.
Yeah, that's the idea for going forward. Strictly speaking, we are now in kind of 'semi-retirement', not of my own choosing but more because of where we live. I've begun building up a small clientele in our rural area who bring me their guns for cleaning and minor repairs as I learn more. So, I was thinking maybe of a small "shop in a trailer" to house gunsmithing and minor RV repair equipment to earn income at home/on the road right now, then in addition to retirement/SS in three years.

Hi all.
Am I mistaken, or did I see a pretty detailed wiring schematic on the forum recently? Would really love to find a complete one for our 66 C-10, if one is available for copying or download. Also, this may be a rather goofy question, but is there a difference between the red and black wiring used on the Avions? I thought maybe they used the red for the dc wiring, but that doesn't seem to be the case, so maybe I'm totally out to lunch on this subject. Thanks, gang.
