Every store we've been to this spring, looking for patio cushions, all that's available is those Mexican serape stripes. Apparently, you'll be right in fashion. Woebeit to anyone seeking otherwise.

Wow, CA Poppy. All we see around here is floral or solids. The few stripes I've seen were painted on, not woven into the fabric. So I'll get the serape blankets and have some quality fabric in our decor.

Got lots of serape striped blankets at El Mercado. Tomorrow I'll join two into a bed cover, then make pillow covers and a tablecloth. Gonna have some color in the Rockwood.
Spotacus was laying in my lap a while ago. I said to WLToo that we'd forgotten to Advantage Multi the cats. Spotacus immediately got up and crawled under the bed. No one can tell me cats don't understand English......
Unfortunately, the vet clinic gave Alex the same dosage as Spotacus, when Alex is literally half the weight, so he'll most likely be feeling bad tomorrow. Hope it doesn't make him throw up. I'll take his meds back and change them for the lighter weight cat dosage.
Leoghaire has been coming up alone the last few days. I've not seen Gimpy in that time; am a little concerned about her. Since Gimpy has been Leoghaire's surrogate mother since MDL's death, I'd like Gimpy to stay healthy, at least until Leoghaire is of breeding age.
Spotacus is still miffed at us. He's sleeping on the chair and a half, as far from us but still in the room as he can get. Alex is asleep on WLToo's lap. All is quiet on the Wanderlost front.
Later, y'all.

Of course they can understand English or any other language.![awink [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/awink.gif)
My wife doesn't care for RV colors or decor either. Our last TT was in blues and whites with funky fabric. The class c is in sage greens with funky fabric. Both had these wallpaper borders that looked like cheesy college dorms. Herself will peel off the wallpaper borders and replace them with borders she likes. She's also been known to paint the walls too.
I suppose that RV decor has to appeal to neutral tastes but then it ends up being worse than a specific style. Oh well. It gives us something else to do with the Magic Carpet to adventure.

My college dorm was painted like a hospital corridor in the middle of a battleship... The Rockwood isn't that bad, but it is so very, very blah. RV colorists all need to be fired...
Our trailer is much too new to be painting the walls just yet. I'll wait until it's out of warranty, then decide how to unyuck it. At least it doesn't have yucky wallpaper borders.
My beloved Pfaff 7570 sewing/embroidery machine appears to have died. Took it to the repair folks, but if the circuit board is gone, there's nothing to be done. Needing a sewing machine right now, I went ahead and bought a Pfaff Passport 2.0. Not near as fancy as the old 7570, but it will do what I need for now. So the RV fabric sewing will have to wait until I've figured out the new machine's quirks - and played around with every stitch it has...good thing I still have a box full of scraps.
Alex did throw up and feel punky after the Advantage Multi. I'll take the meds back tomorrow and get the right ones for his weight. He also went outside and rolled in the dirt, making a nice, big dirt ball right where the Advantage Multi was applied. He then wallowed all over both humans, leaving us covered in dust and flea dope. At least we'll not get fleas, either....
Spotacus had a lovely day, spending most of it under the Rockwood. He has his favorite places, and now that the Rockwood is in the 50 amp parking space and L'Andante is in the 30 amp, Spotacus doesn't have to change that favorite place.
Back to listening to P.D.Q. Bach, the alter ego of one Peter Schickele. His musical inside jokes still keep me in stitches.

Woke up this morning when Alex stuck his paw up my nostril. Spotacus was stretched out against my back, which was a nice change from him sharing my pillow. But he was not inclined to move out of the way as I tried to get up. Finally got out and he immediately laid back down in the warm spot. Alex and Spotacus were so active yesterday, going in and out and in and out, that they are both slugs this morning. Ate breakfast and immediately went back to bed.
Here we are in mid-winter, and today the high will be 79. A very strong breeze early this morning blew all the **** out of the sky, so it's just gorgeous out there.
Leoghaire and the entire herd came up, so I know Gimpy's fine (and very pregnant already - twins again?). Because it's been such a mild winter, there's lots to eat and they all look good.
Torn between adding more stuff to the Rockwood, knowing it has to go back for warranty work on the A/C vents, and doing paperwork. Can't do laundry or anything else involving water - a guy with a backhoe cut into the main waterline at the entrance to our road, so we have no water until the water company gets it fixed. That backhoe guy better have some really good insurance...
Time to get busy. Later, y'all.

We have a little water tonight, but it's very, very low pressure. We all went out to dinner, since the water was not back on at dinnertime, and returned to a slow but steady flow. They'll finish the repair tomorrow. So we filled up a lot of jugs and buckets so we can flush, and have 4 gallons of drinking water.
Tall Friend built a porch for their FW. I went over for a moment, and Short Friend had the door completely open. Well, Spotacus saw the steps and just had to trot up them and straight into the FW. I convinced him he wanted to stroll back out with me, and he then decided to hang out with Tall Friend, weaving in and out of Tall Friend's legs. It's really strange how affectionate Spotacus is to everyone when he's outside, but not much at all inside (except with me). Lately, though, he is showing interest in playing with Short Friend, as long as she doesn't drag out the squeaky snake toy - he's afraid of that one.
Ah, very old movie on the TV. Later, y'all.

Seems like there is never a dull moment at your country estate. What is it's name? I'm sure it has one. Glad Gimpy has survived. Miss the adventures of MDL but friends like that are hard to come by. We just have to be grateful for the time we shared with them.
Wishing you some uneventful times ahead...

Magnusfide, the nostril is fine. Alex didn't have his claws out.
CA Poppy, our little country estate is called Druidenwiese (drew Eden visa).
Saw WLToo looking at used F250 diesels and mumbling that it has -- absolutely has to -- be white or silver. Excellent. He did grumble about not really wanting to drive one as a daily vehicle, so I told him he could drive the F150 and I'll drive the F250. It's not like we're both out and about in different directions on a daily basis. At present, he can go a week or more without taking his Jeep out of the garage, or I might not take the F150 anywhere for 4-5 days. Just not gonna be that big an issue.
He finally finished the garden shed roof, the sliding barn door, and the ramp. But now he has to add more concrete blocks underneath in the middle, because he forgot to put in a center beam and now the floorboards are sagging. {Jean Luc Picard face palm}
Meanwhile, Tall Friend decided he needs an 8x10 shed so the FW underside isn't so cluttered. But he's ordering one, to be delivered and installed. I suspect the center of that floor won't be sagging anytime soon...
Slept from 0200 (it was a good book) to 0645, then woke up both cats by getting up. Couldn't breathe. Don't know what it is with my sinuses: too dry and they swell closed; too damp and they swell closed. Get up, stay upright, and they clear. So very glad I don't have any allergies to go along with it. Have a neck pillow I sometimes use for upright napping; may use it later today.
A doe I didn't recognize was grazing near the north porch when I let Spotacus out at 0700. She didn't spook, so she is clearly one of the Leoghaire-Gimpy crowd. I need to pay closer attention to the other does, so I can learn who's who.
My cousin in Alaska has been sharing nifty little tidbits for what to see and where to camp. A Canadian volunteer at the library gave me a list of Canadian brands to eat. Rather looking forward to the bacon, as it's normally maple bacon. That's hard to come by in Texas - hickory or mesquite smoked is the standard here.
Alex wants out. Later, y'all.
