Hi Wander ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
Been awhile since I've been on, and had to sit and read from Aug on to catch up with your family. I'm so sorry about Bobbi. Gosh it's been almost a whole year that spot has been with you both Wow what a year of change. I think it's been a year of change for alot of folks. I would have never guessed that I'd be living in TX less than 200 miles from you. lol
When is Spot's birthday with you?
I'll catch up with ya later this week, have a story about a 3 legged cat.

Welcome back, Joy. Spot will have been with us a year on 18 Dec. At the moment, he's outside on patrol. These are very short patrols, as the wind bothers him, so there's been a lot of "kitty on the wrong side of the door" activity today.
Alex was plastered so tightly against me this morning, I decided to up the house heat temp to 70, vice the 66 that keeps me comfortable. He's already feeling much better, enough to be playing with his toy and a ribbon I dangle the toy with. I'll just drink cool drinks and be ok.
The deer are moving about quite a lot today, and I'm getting good closeups with my birthday binoculars. Amazing what 12x50 picks up. Looking forward to some star gazing.

KLO wrote: Yum, yum, would you share a couple of your recipes with us? Jalapeno-cilantro cornbread dressing, and apple cider gravy to be precise! They sound really yummy and I have yet to find a cornbread dressing recipe I really like.
The apple cider gravy is in the turkey gravy thread over in Camp Cooks and Connoisseurs. I just posted the cornbread recipe. It's based upon classic frontier cornbread, when there was only cornmeal available. If you don't want the jalapeno-cilantro part, just leave those ingredients out, and that's my standard cornbread recipe.

Today's been lively. I headed off to a physical, and apparently Spot got inside the garage and I didn't see him, so he was locked in for a while. He had to poo, but was nice enough to do it where we could see it right off.
He came back inside and took a long nap on the just out of the dryer tee shirts I'd laid on the bed. Meanwhile, Alex had a long stroll outside in the sun. Not windy today, so they've stayed outside for the most part.
WLToo worked in the MH, getting the old electronics out. Spot "helped." Then Alex had to inspect as we put the Tyvek cover on the F350 we're storing for a friend, while he's overseas.
Now Spot's inside the Tyvek delivery box and Alex is head bumping me as I type. He still refuses to acknowledge we've gone to standard time.
Time to go work at the library. Alex will take my chair while I'm gone.

Looking forward to your 3-legged kitty stories, Joy.
Spot's bathing on the storage bench by the window. He doesn't show any interest in going outside -- it's windy again. Alex is zonked on the futon in the "music room" (3d bedroom, only place where the baby grand will fit in this tiny house).
That's good. I really don't want them outside until we can finish getting the oil up off the drive. Seems WLToo added way too much oil to the motorcycles. Soon as he started his and it warmed up a tad, his dip stick blew out and oil blew all over his leg, his motorcycle, and the drive. Good thing I wasn't ready to start mine, or he'd have gotten oil spray on both sides...
So I dumped kitty litter all over the oil on the drive, while he siphoned the excess out of the oil tanks. He had to go to the dentist, so we're not done just yet, and the last thing we need is for Alex to decide to roll around in the oil and litter. He loves to roll around in dirt. He'd frequently come back inside smelling of automotive products back in Virginia, and I really don't want him finding this mess.
So when WLToo gets back, we'll finish siphoning oil, clean up the oil soaked litter, then power wash his bike.
Sure put a dent in the plan to get a nice ride in today...

It's a rainy, foggy, cool day here in the Hill Country. Alex has moved from futon to sofa to my lap, with only one quick trip outside.
Spot followed us to the garage, back into the house, bounced around outside until the mist turned to rain, and in general has been right where we are all day. As I walk from room to room, he's right behind me. Almost like having a dog...
We finished the oil saga today, and cleaned up. Then one of the one-year-old garage door openers decided to stop working, so a repairman will come by Monday. Ah, the joys of home ownership.
I think some eggnog and whiskey are called for...

Now that sounds like a great way to end the day! That is the only way I can drink eggnog, to sweet otherwise.
