We've gotten over 2" since midnight, with more in the offing. Flash flood warnings all about -- good thing we don't have anywhere to go. Won't need WLToo's roof washer -- the pool is overflowing.

We finally got Obi-wander unloaded. Tomorrow we'll call the dealer about getting her in for all those warranty items. The air conditioner is the most critical, of course.

The entire doe/fawn herd was in the meadow last evening, as Sister and I returned from a land for sale road trip around the lake. She wants to sell her place in the big city and move out here, but hates all the houses for sale in her budget range, so she figured she'd buy land, then build what she wants. But none of the land we looked at was feasible -- either requires too much site engineering, or was too small for a house of desired size, plus enough yard to separate her from neighbors. Good thing she has no timeline for this move.

Spotacus was miserable at 0600. Went outside, but it was way too wet to go potty - he never got off the porch. Came back inside and was reduced to using his litter box. Went back outside and stayed until about a half hour ago, when he came inside and piled into WLToo's lap for a good while, then went back to bed.

Think I'll go join him for a nice rainy day nap. Later, y'all.

We're up to 3.27" since yesterday, with more forecast. The temperature outside is only 70, so we opened up the house to a pleasant breeze. Hope the moisture helps Spotacus' creepy crawly skin.

I'm going to spend the day on the porch, reading. Later, y'all.

Drove Obi-Wander to the dealer this morning. A couple more issues cropped up on the way. Sheesh. The warranty repair list was over two pages already. When we pulled her onto the driveway yesterday, then started duct taping all the hatches closed, Spotacus came running, talking all the time. I guess he's ready to go on another trip.

Then I had to go see one of my two cardiologists. All is fine. But I drove almost 200 miles today, in and out of rain showers. Glad to be home again. I swear Spotacus never changed sleeping positions the whole day...

Suppertime. Later, y'all.

Sounds like a rough day. Maybe Spot-man was trying to talk you out of a trip instead of hoping for one [emoticon]

Nah, Spotacus loves the RV. Anytime we're doing something in her, Spotacus joins us and plants himself in one of his favorite sleeping spots. He was so disappointed when I shooed him back into the house.

The temps went back up into the high 80s/low 90s. With the high humidity, it was pretty miserable most of the day. But the humidity dropped this evening, and it was lovely outside.

I do hope all of you in Florence's potential paths get to safety.

You have a very unusual cat. Of course, you always knew that. [emoticon]

True, Gary. We knew that from the moment he showed up at our door. Although well fed and healthy, he was tired, extremely thirsty, and desperate for human company. From the moment he arrived, he never tried to leave; he patrolled the entire fence line almost daily, but leaving was not on his list of things to do, unless he went with us in the RV. He fell in love with our RV as soon as he got the opportunity to go inside, leading us to believe he might have been someone's traveling cat.

He traveled back and forth in our pickups, while we were taking care of Mom at her place. As long as we left his carrier door open, he traveled just fine. Close it, and he thinks he's going to the vet.

In an emergency, all we have to do is open the RV door, invite him inside, and roll. What a great cat.
