Leoghaire walked up on the pool deck to check out the hopefully finished pool. I say "hopefully" because the pool has to be filled before the final pipes check can occur, and then the plumbing switch from chlorine to salt. That should be tomorrow.

Still filling, but what a great look.

Can't see past the windmill this morning. Very wet fog. Good. Even fog adds moisture.
Spotacus loves it. With the heater off and the humidity, he doesn't even duck to avoid static shocks.
Well, time to clean the remaining dust off the porch from where the pool guys didn't quite get it vacuumed up. Later, y'all.

Looks great! It's going to be a salt water pool? Fantastic!

It was supposed to rain yesterday, so the pool guy didn't come out. It didn't rain.
He's supposed to come out today, but it was raining about 30 minutes ago, with thunderstorms forecast for all day. I doubt he'll come out today, either.
Oh, well, at least we're finally getting some rain.
Spotacus is very much enjoying the warm mornings. He's asleep on the north porch.
Think I'll rummage around for some breakfast. Later, y'all.

Pool's working. Water is crystal clear now, after WLToo spent two days changing out the filter every five hours or so, to get the last bits of construction schmutz out. Too bad the water temperature is in the fifties...
Foggy, foggy day. It's only just now beginning to lift, but the high will be around 78 and tonight's low in the 60s. I turned on the bedroom ceiling fan last night and will certainly need it tonight. Unless something very unusual happens, we're done with winter.
Haven't seen the does in a couple of days, but with the new vegetation growth, they have lots more grazing ground. The bird scouts came and went -- expect the pairs to begin arriving in a couple weeks.
Think it's about time to head into town and kick CW into giving me the inspection paperwork, so I can finally get L'Andante re-registered. Then we can finally start configuring her for the long-delayed trip to that location that we're no longer naming, because every time we talk about it, something happens and we can't go. As Shakespearean actors refer to a certain "Scottish play," we now refer to it as the "Scottish trip," in hopes bad luck will not land upon us yet again.
I see sunlight breaking through. Time to go. Later, y'all.

Sunlight's gone, back to cloudy and misty, with occasional thunderstorms. But the lows are in the 60s and highs in the 70s, so I'm not complaining.
WLToo has completed building a queen-size horizontal Murphy bed. I have to wait until it's not humid to paint it, then a crew will move it into the third bedroom that I use as my music room. It's the only place in this small house I could put the baby grand, wagon organ, field snare drum, 4 guitars, a banjo, a hammered dulcimer, and assorted other small wind instruments and associated sheet music. The Murphy will replace a futon that takes up way too much space. WLToo does lovely woodworking -- I'm pretty good at painting. It's gonna look great.
Spotacus is not real happy with us right now. We took his RV litter box out of the house, leaving only the Litter Robot. For some reason, he's decided he doesn't want to use it. So when he has to go, he yanks on the door screen of whatever room we're in, so we'll let him out. Or, he'll jump up on the kitchen island and head for the sink. We've caught him peeing in it more than once. It's a constant contest on where he'll pee -- prefers outside, except when it's wet (and it's wet now). Looks in the Robot, but won't climb in. At least he's not peeing on something he could damage...
L'Andante was supposed to be ready for pickup today, but they never called. When WLToo called for a status update, they didn't return the call. As usual. We only get results from them when we show up and confront them face-to-face. After this, I don't want to bother with them ever again. Think we'll use Iron Horse down in San Antonio instead.
It's very muggy now. Think I'll turn on the air conditioner. Later, y'all.

Sounds like Spotacus is into creative potty-ing. ![eek [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/eek.gif)
You've been a lot more patient than I would have been with that service place. Time to contact corporate if it were me.

L'Andante is home, finally. And we find out we have an electrical problem on the hookup. Sigh. Anyway, when Tall and Short Friends return from visiting relatives, Tall Friend will back our trailer up the hill and into another hookup site, so we can finally offload it and reload L'Andante. Then we can clean up the trailer and put it up for sale, and have one less large item taking up space around here.
Tall and Short Friends will shortly no longer be living in their Fifth Wheel. They found a lovely house about seven minutes drive from us, with a parking space for the FW, a rock garden instead of a lawn out front, and a lovely view of the golf course in the rear. Closing is the end of this month. Seller left most of the furniture, so they won't have to rough it until their furniture arrives from Maine this autumn.
It will be very easy now to offload whatever they don't want to take along on our "Scottish trip," as we now refer to the RV trip way up north we've been planning and not getting to take the last four years. If we mention the destination, the trip gets jinxed, so, like Shakespeare's play, we won't call it by name anymore.
I will miss them being right across the way, but seven minutes away is not a problem, once we all get used to it.
Meanwhile, we had a windy, chilly couple of mornings, and Spotacus flatly refused to go outside. He actually used the Litter Robot, getting high praise and treats each time. However, he's still not quite putting two and two together to figure out using the robot is a good thing, treats wise. He has gotten quite chatty, though, which has never been his "thing." We're still sorting out what all the conversation is about.
Time to get back to painting the Murphy bed. Later, y'all.

Spotacus is negotiating a deal where you remove the robot and the treats are inconsequential. High level diplomacy has spurred him to vocalize. He just can't find a cheap translator yet that takes cat treats instead of cash.
