Hooked up new tv antenna to see if it worked better than the old one. Works good so far when used in the garage.

Well, Lets see,, I replaced the 30 amp plug (3 prong) on the cord, after 3 tries and breaking 2 new plugs, tightening it down.. finally found a different set up at ace hardware (long time since being in an ace hardware, forgot they have EVERYTHING) lol then on to getting tired of looking at the roofing matering hanging down so ripped it all down,, guess maybe some sort of carpeting? or just paint? its like masonite under that material.. tried to finish with the sink/new faucet job,, broke the connection, so thats on the todo list.. Guess I should mention, this is a 1984 chevy cutaway, with about 80k on it,, tires are cracked, and not sure what Im going to do yet with it,, new tires I know, but 8x16.5 isnt a regular size,, and dont know the new size yet,, nor if I have to buy new rims for it. A/c doesnt work, but was told it did. so maybe Im not doing something right (first Rv),, generator works, but dies when I try to run the a/c. Not sure if its water damage on the inside, but guess it could be humidity problem from sitting for a long time,, runs good, cept the fuel filter keeps getting clogged (I think),, Just bought this thing for 2500, last October, and I was hospitalized between November and January off and on,, and finally got it to town a few weeks ago,, Belts were loose, so battery didnt charge, tightened them today, but forgot my jump starter so no charge,,, its not really a bad B, for the money, nor for a first RV starter for us..but still, Couldnt help but name it "The Money Pit" Looking forward to our first trip, after Nana gets well enough after her knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago.. If I think of it, will post some pics,, sure wish I knew someone near handy with things,, cant do a whole lot.,. If Id known I was gonna live this long, Id have taken better care of myself,, LOL Happy Traveling Papaw |

after re-reading it, it looked like I was saying, the fuel filter on the generator,, unfortunately, its the main propulsion unit (engine),, the generator seems to run fine, cept for dying when the a/c is turned on.. Lots of things left to check out,, like wiring I tried to mess with, and blew a couple fuses,, replaced the fuses, but now seems to be a couple other problems,, Not sure where all my friends are these days I used to have, but think theyre all hiding now that I need some help with something,, LOL Papaw |

Brushed off the snow and cleaned it again. Let it run for a half hour and dreamed of summertime.

lol,, I think Ive done give up on the repairing of "The Money Pit" and using,, its been exciting imagining all the trips we would take, what we would do, etc.. but we ran across a class A today and talked to the owner, and, well, Im heading to the bank tomorrow,, lol,, its 26-27ft damon challenger, and everything works, engine fires right up, generator fires right up both are quiet inside. carpet has a little wear, but inside looks immaculate, without Usage marks on everything, nor any waterdamage,, and it appears to have everything we want, and is a very good price, IMO, for 28,000 miles on a 1994.. so cath yall in the Class A forum in a week or so, when I get my new used RV,, hehehe

I hooked up the new (to us) 2007 Toyota Yaris and practiced towing it around a bit. This vehicle tows on all 4. We will use it to drive locally in Florida next winter.![]() * This post was edited 05/18/11 03:45pm by JoeRT04 * 2015 Class B Roadtrek Zion |

JoeRT04, I also have a 2 door Yaris hatchback, a 2010 auto. The manual says not to tow. I'm thinking youmust have the manual & that is OK. My Class B Xplorer gets 13.5 mpg & I just drive it around. The Yaris is my home base & winter vehicle. I do like it, got a great deal on it & like the mpg. The best I got was 40mpg, but avg in town is 32.5. Steve |
