It would be just a matter of finding the fitting/adapter: One end of the hose would be the quick-connect fitting that goes to the RV and the other end would look like the end of a traditional propane tank. Problem there would be that you would be flowing the propane through the regulator on the trailer and then again through the regulator on the grill. We would need to find a way to bypass the regulator on the grill.......... I think. 2020 GMC Canyon 2022 NoBo 19.2 |

RUFFSTUFF wrote: ![]() There are a few trailers we are going to look at tomorrow to replace our trailer that we just bought 10 months ago! Ha! The joy of buying a bigger TV, I guess. Anyhow, our list is the Keystone Premier 31BHPR, Keystone Outback 312BH, Forest River 30VBHS or a Raptor 30FS (my idea). The first 3 are essentially the same trailer with minor variances in options and/or color schemes. The last is the only new bumper-tow toy hauler I found that I consider to be acceptable. I have the sibling Keystone Outback 312BH and floolw/post on this thread so ask me anything if needed. 2005 F-150 King Ranch 2010 Keystone Outback 312BH |

My 'coleman stove" swings out from under the sink and has a 3' hose on it. The hose is attached to the stove, but is hanging free at the other end. When the stove is swung out, you feed the hose through a hole drilled in the side panel and it plugs into the camper with a 'hydraulic' looking connector under the camper. This is by Keystone design. MY design is to leave that factory plug plugged in all the time and route the hose through the floor.... But, I have go give it more thought before cutting hole through floor. 2011 GMC 2500 D-Max Denali 2015 Palomino Columbus 325RL Our kids have 4 legs. "> |

Is that "hydraulic" looking connector not the same quick connect fitting that I have on mine? It looks something like this: Except on the trailer, the female end is hard connected with a shutoff valve/lock switch on it. Does yours look different? The other difference is that on the 31BHPR, there's no hole in the side panel. The hose just goes from the stove and under the trailer to the connector. 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali ~ 2010 Keystone Premier 31BHPR ~ Sold: 2009 Tango 289BH ProPride 3P Hitch ~ RV Modifications ~ Gear & Accessories ~ Road Trip 2010 ![]() |

LOL... just when I was coming in to get the camera.... Yep, that's the connector and it sounds like it is mounted exactly the same with the valve. Ours has a hole drilled through the "wind panel" on the side of the camper that is intended to feed the hose through and THEN plug it in. I was just thinking of drilling an access hole (think 1") right beside the frame of the swing arm and then feeding the hose through there and just leaving it connected.. BUT - there's always the concern of that hose dangling around under there an exposed to the elements... Time will tell, once I get some of the other mods done. ![]() ![]() |

We would need to find a way to bypass the regulator on the grill.......... I think. Good point. I hadn't thought about that so when I was at Costco yesterday I took a careful look at the tabletop and portable grills that looked very much like the Coleman. On the two that I saw, neither had the propane hookup regulator hose permanently attached to the grill. One of them had a very simple connection male connection that would match the female connector on the hose on the right in this picture: It would be just a matter of finding the right length of hose and then you would bypass the grill's regulator altogether. I couldn't get full access to the second grill so I couldn't see the connection for the regulator hose. I guess someone would need to confirm the connection type on the grill to make sure it was compatible with standard fittings. If it is, there there should be no issues using it. My goal in the future is to run other propane appliances from that connection as well. |
