Hi all, I am Sarahs better half. You Asked a couple of questions. I will try to answer what I did. First the bed gas prop was indeed an interesting problem. But here we go. With several trial and error attempts I went back to my basic engineering principles. There were two problems with the installment on our cabinet. One what size of prop was needed, and second the cabinet could not support the strength needed. After these two were answered a third and more significant problem occurred which my wife so eloquently described as never being able to close the cabinet unless we set on the bed. The answer was right in front of me. The angle of the prop must go past level in effect pulling the cabinet closed once the door is shut. I did have to re-enforce the plywood and then add an extension block to get past level. You can see this in the photos. The cabinet framing is not adequate to hold the pressure of the prop, I added two metal brackets to the cross members of the wood frame. The prop I used for this application is a 100# open length 20 inches. The prop was purchased from Campers World and I only used one in the middle.I believe the pictures will be sufficient to allow you to install. Good luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() when posting photos, please adhere to RV.Net max size of 640X480 pixels Moderator * This post was last edited 02/01/11 10:26pm by an administrator/moderator * |

Thanks! Just showed DH your post and pictures. We still have 2 months before we can get into our TT again but during our move in camping week we'll give this another look. The other thing I'd love to have is a door to the space under the dinette seating area, making for easy access. Anyone do this mod yet? F250 Diesel Lariat Laissez les bons temps rouler! |

If so, how do you like it and how does it tow? cliff Yes we do and love it so far, having said that we only got it a few weeks ago and our just starting to outfit for Spring but so far so good, the dinette slide makes a huge difference for room inside.I only towed it back from the dealership so far but it seemed fine, no issues. |

Sarah Elizabeth wrote: ![]() I have a Bullet Premier with the living room plan, and I do know the answer. Our stove vent is venting to the room itself. I could not figure out why my kitchen area was getting more hot than the Starcraft hybrid that I cooked in. Well, my husband did. I love my camper, glass shower doors, stainless steel appliances, very nice cabinets, Pantry in my kitchen, linen closet in my bathroom, my furniture is good quality, etc., Even with a two year old grandson playing nothing has broke and is laying in the floor. But.... why in the world would they vent to the inside. What good does that do?? That's strange I ask our dealer and he said Keystone confirmed that it does vent through the same vent as the fridge ? Any one else out there can help shed some light on this ? If it does vent back inside then I am glad I added a fan to the vent by the kitchen at least that will help vent the kitchen to the outside. |

Just got our new 31BHPR this weekend. Really happy about my selection. It is one nice trailer...and my first one. With all the extras from the comfort package, even better. I think I got a good deal, so no complaints. I've tested and inspected many things on it and all looks good... so far. Won't be until probably May that I'll start enjoying it, but at least I'll have enough time to customize it and no worries about receiving it in time. Now, my question is about the type of hitch. My dealership sells Husky products, so he suggested me the Husky centerline hitch to tow my TT. I don't know much about all of this, so don't know if this is a good product. I've read a few thread about this topic and apparently there is alot of people suggesting the Hensley and other high end and expensive hitches (apparently...and alot of arguing about this...). My dealer is asking 700$ for the centerline. My longest trip this year will probably be about 300 miles max (this year at least) so won't travel too far, if this makes any difference. My vehicule is a Toyota Sequoia, 5.7L. Does anyone who own a 31bh have anything to suggest me on this? Thanks for the advice... 2011 Keystone Bullet Premier 31BHPR 2010 Toyota Sequoia Limited RV modifications ![]() |

This is my first post to this site. We just picked up this unit on MLK Day. We upgraded our Popup for this TT. We are very excited and can't wait for our first camping trip. We are a family of 5, plus a dog and this model fit almost all of our needs. I will be reading posts and looking for information. Our popup did not have a bathroom so this is new for us. I do rely on my husband to figure these things out and then teach me but it would be nice to understand what he is talking about ![]() |
