A campground near us does a seasonal "Winter Wonderland" from Nov 1 to Mar 31. I was toying with the idea. Only thing not available is water but the camper will be winterized anyway.

Where did you get the track and curtain? How much did the materials cost? It looks like a great idea.

28RLPR - As promised, photos of the extra curtain we had installed. It's worked great for us. Has given more privacy in the hallway area, great for changing room. The curtain doesn't get in the way of the corner cabinet or the rear door. Even if the door is open to let air flow through the TT, the curtain hasn't been a problem. I do have handy a tie for the curtain to keep it secure but haven't ever needed it.

Extra Curtain Track

Very nice, great idea!

Sorry I posted answer before but guess it didn't go through.

When we bought the TT we requested an extra curtain. I assumed the dealer ordered it from Keystone probably using our model #'s to get the correct curtain fabric.

We were surprised (and a tad upset) when we picked up the TT to see a curtain track installed with the curtain hanging. We hadn't requested that. I had thought to just double up on the curtain in the rear. We are SOOO glad they installed it as they did. It has worked great and I'd do it again. It also works as another degree of darkness for the bedroom area to keep early morning sun coming in. We use a portable heater and the furnace only as a boost on chilly nights. That little curtain also helps keep the heat in the rear at night for comfy sleeping.

A lot of people leave there camper in there seasonal spots over winter at our place and even though the campground is officially closed and the gates are chained you can still walk into the campground and get into your rig. Many people will go there on snow days and the kids will sled ride on the hills in the campground then head back to the camper for heat and some hot chocolate. As long as you have propane and a battery and its all good [emoticon]

It sounds fun, and tempting. This place remains open and there is electricity and cable. They will, upon request and a small fee, turn your heat on 1 hour prior to your arrival to warm up your camper, shovel your spot, and leave some firewood. The bathrooms and lodge is open as well. I think it would allow you to dread winter a little less!

Oh yea!! I would definitely take advantage of that. I wish we had a place around here like that.

A couple of questions based upon my first trip this past weekend:

1.) How does one take the TV off? Not the panel to get to the back of the TV, I want to take the TV off to make the access area behind the TV a bit larger.

2.) Is the black flush tank inop when the black tank lever is closed?

3.) I spent the weekend tweaking the AC and it's a bit perplexing. I have a digital readout, but want the fan to work automatically. In other words, if I have the temp set at 75, when it turns to 78, it should run the fan and compressor to get the temp to 75. Couldn't find a way to do that. Is it possible?

4.) If you have a sattelite, where are you placing the reciever?

Thanks
Rick

Rick........
1) I took the rear access panel off then I used my dremel to enlarge the access hole to the plugs but I did not remove the TV to do it.

2) The black flush will operate anytime you have your freshwater hose hooked up to it and the water is on. After I dump my black tank I then close the valve and turn the flush on to refill the tank again before I start the flush process....

3) Your thermostat has 3 settings. I think the fan is the top one. The fan can be set to always on or automatic so that it comes on and off with the AC compressor,

4) cant help ya on the SAT.....

Yeah, I thought of that, just didn't want to get all of thos shavings on the back of the TV. Not sure if it will hurt it or not...

The black flush has me a bit perplexed. The CG that we were at didn't have a proper connection, so I attempted to place the hose up to the flush out connection. That didn't work too well and absolutely NO water came out of the black tank. When we got home, we found water inside the bathroom floor. Have to get that checked.

Yeah, I've seen the 3 settings and the fan can be set to Auto, High or Low, but leaving it on either of the two last settings has it run all of the time. I'd have thought that running it in Auto would do what you suggested. In ours it didn't - it ran all of the time. Another thing I'll have them check.

Thanks.

So your saying that you did not have sewer hook up at the CG? Did you hook the flush hose up without draining your black tank first?
You mentioned that no water came out of the black tank with the hose on. Did you have the black tank valve open? Sorry for the questions just want to make sure I am understanding....

When I flush my black tank after it is empty, it takes a good minute or so for the water to start flowing out.
