Added a custom bike rack to store 3 bikes atop the propane tanks. The 2x4 frame allows the bed to be opened, and is removable to store indoors when not in use and/or to access the propane tanks.

So, after thinking about how to carry the bikes safely but not loose all the room in the bed of the truck, I finally came up with a solution. It is made from wood and I use the rubber bungee/tie downs to hold the bikes in place. I've received complements at the campgrounds including where they could get one. If I had skills in welding, I'd consider building one out of metal vs wood, but I had to go with what I know.

Excellent. I've been looking at the trailer tray and thinking about putting the same type of bike racks on its platform. What brand/ model bike racks did you use? How stable are the wood uprights? Thanks for posting your mod!

I have not yet finished, but my plan was to install the thule bike racks - the ones that fit the 2 bike tires on a track and a support bracket that comes up to hold the bar between the pedals. The unit itself is sturdy, I contemplated putting a cross bracket or 2 if it is not stable once the weight of the bikes is loaded. I hope to get 3 or 4 on there so will have to post an update in about 3 months!

Thanks. Keep us posted. My trailer is in winter storage, so I won't be doing anything but planning until mid APRIL.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but.....does anybody use those 3M "sticker"/hooks in their campers? We have not purchased our HTT, yet (still deciding which is the best fit), but looking at storage...I'd like to put some hooks on the wall....especially in the shower. The main walls almost look like they are wallpapered in these campers, and I'm not sure those things will stick. I'd like to hang towels from them, so a little heavy for the wall? Also, has anybody tried a tension rod in the bathroom? Looking to have some hanging space, and we don't intend to use the shower. Again....are the walls strong enough to support this?

We use a hanging hook towel hanger that hangs from the top of the bathroom door.

We use "command hooks" and they work splendidly. I put three near the door and I hand my keys and hat there (and a fly swatter. Heh.)
