For some reason, I didn't copy the below paragraph to my earlier post, when I posted. Whether it is relevant, I will leave it up to you to decide.
I have these same concerns and use Jegs' Fuel Jugs to fill up my various fuel tanks, Motorcycle/Generator/TV. Years ago I found that these Jug containers holding fuel attract contaminants for some reason or other. Using a filling tube in a cap to these jugs, I did like Reddog1 did with his generator; I picked up a fuel filter from an Auto Parts store and put it in the middle of my fuel filling tube. That way I can filter a number of vehicle's tanks, before it arrives at their filters. I still want to do an in line filter for my Honda Generator and it is on my growing "to do list."

I use a plastic 3-gallon boat fuel tank to fill my Honda. I use a glass see through cleanable fuel filter in the hose between the boat tank and Honda tank.
The stuff was in the hose after the Honda OEM filter, and before my add-on filter between the Honda OEM filter and carburetor. If the stuff was from my boat tank, it would have had to pass through the boat hose filter, Honda screen and the Honda OEM filter. I am not convinced it did that.

I am unable to see the photo and I am getting message as image not visible due to preference setting. I wanted to have a look, but I do not know what is wrong.

Which photos are you referring to, all of them or just certain ones?
I have no problems with any of them.

I just bought a EU2000i this past weekend. Opening the side cover gives access to a gray connector (lower right section under the ON/OFF switch) that when disconnected eliminates the electrical kill switch of the ON/OFF switch. The unit can be run out of gas by simply disconnecting this connector, moving the switch to OFF, and running the jenny until it is out of fuel. Reconnect the connector and you are ready for the next use.

Right on, that's what that screw that has a hose attached to it on the bottom of the bowl is for!

I just resurrected an EU1000 that hasn't been run in 10 Years. I was astounded it ran at all but it did, albeit poorly with all the symptoms described in the thread. It also dumped so much gas into the engine it ended up in the crankcase thinning the point of disassembling the carb but I ending up doing a series of oil changes to flush the crankcase and to get her running right I used Sea Foam in the gas, and shot carb cleaner into the intake while running. Once all that was done I took the spark plug out and gave it a good cleaning. She's outside right now running in Eco mode with a 600 watt light plugged into it purring like a kitten. Once this tank of fuel runs out I'll change the oil on last time and load it with Mobil 1.
BTW, the genny cost me a bottle of good single malt and a few hours of my time (to get it running right).

That's a cheap Eu genny.....Glad it is ok after all that gas...
So did you remove the carb and clean it up or what?
You said, " It also dumped so much gas into the engine it ended up in the crankcase thinning the point of disassembling the carb"... and it does not make sense to me.
