Bryan A arranged the visit... Bryan did,t want us to spend our 3 year in the EC anniversery without a party,

Bryan says that everyone has a party when they pass the 1096 nights boondocking in their truck camper.

Thanks Bryan... Wish you could have been here!

Bottomless Lake State Park, Artist Colony, WW II Iron Cross, and more great resturants...

Nice weather in the days and evenings... very cold in the early mornings

Snow not far north of us in the mountains where we want to go.

Camping in the style of Tioga George.... there are day camps and there is night camps.

I can see there's gonna be some good pictures to enjoy when you get home and take the time to post them. No hurry though. Keep on traveling!

I went back to the Goddard exhibit.... ended up spending $60 on books... one by Robert Goddard himself and another by his biographer. Very interesting.

We also visited the Bitter Lake National bird park

We know all of the good restrants in Roswell... and there are plenty

We finally left Roswell yesterday...

We headed out north and west... following US 380

Lincoln State Monument..

Fort Stantan Museum

Smoky Bear Historical Park

We were disappointed that we wouldn't be able to visit Trinity Site.... 1st Atomic Bomb explosion

But.... we found a fantastic place... "Valley of the Fires State Park at Carrizozo, NM... it is in the same valley and north of White Sands Nat Park.... we are in the volcanic flow.... it is 44 miles long... 165' deep, and covers 125 sq miles.

It is very warm duing the day... cold at night.... our Platcat is buzy... and we are as warm as toast. We have been out 25 nights on this trip.... used a bottle of propane.... a lot of solar...

Did I say... New Mexico is windy.... [emoticon]

Thank goodness for our PlatCat Vented heater at night.... the thermostat keeps us at 68 degrees F and it is using very little propane.

We are probably close to I-40... expecting snow on the peaks.

Quick up date....we are in Albequarque New Mexico

.... the good so far.... the Natural History Museum... the ABQ art history museum, the resturants and the Petroglyp National Monument...

The bad... we had a front tire blow out... my first. Very loud at 80 psi The damage was caused by a pot hole.... but luckly it blew as we made a tight turn in the Natural History parking lot and the right tire climbed over a brick that had been tossed into the road. I have pictures for later.

Be careful... raise cain about the roads if you plan on every traveling again.... most every ehere they have mean surprises and no one is working on them.

We are enjoying Santa fe, NM.... cool at 7000' .... cold at night. The PlatCat is keeping the camper at 70 degrees as it runs all night... sometimes the furnace kicks in about 5 or 6 am. The PVSolar panels are more than keeping up.... we never drop below 85% of capacity.

We did the NM Capital yesterday.... it is a very unusual capital building...

We hope that the rain slows.... today, another Art Gallery and Cinco de Mayo...

We hope that every single one of you are using your campers and adding to your nights used numbers... get your moneys worth.

Suds,

We were there... we did the museums and art galleries

On Friday we went to Valles Caulderra on top of the mountain... then to Jemez springs... Jemez National Monument and BandilierNational Monument

We were interested in Los Alamos National Lab.... it is very similiar to where I worked for many, many years...

Try the Pizza next door to the Bradley Museum.

We are back in Santa Fee now.... trying to acclimate to all of the elevation changes we've been making.

It is pretty obvious... we don't get on the computer often.

We have iPhones.... do messages and emails from them.... and checkin with the house sitter by phone.

New mexico has been wonderful... almost all of the last 44 nights have been here.
