It's 5 degrees here, now, some snow and lots of wind. It's a bit difficult to see spring. We're unable to consider bailing right now, the temperatures and long range forecasts, would portent big problems if the power failed, our house could be damaged.
Imagine, our TC, winterized, tempts us from our driveway. I've run the generator, furnace, and other appliances monthly, so all seems well and ready.
We have been looking forward to experiencing The Smoky Mountains NP and then to Big Bend on our spring of 2015 tour. Both locales have been unexplored by us and have been very much anticipated.
Linda and I want to do this for as long as we are safely able. It has been such a wonderful way to move into our future. Life is Good!

I'm glad to be at home with all of these sub zwro temps.... we had a ice storm that covered everything in our area with 1 1/2" ice.... no snow...40 to 50 mph winds.
I have the cube heater going in the camper with the cabinate doors open.... the battery warmers too. This morning I ran the camper furnace to circulate warm air.
Come on spring...

Sleepy and Skipper,
We are 40 miles south of Miami. 34 degrees F. here this morning. The palm trees appear to have frozen nuts as do all the rest of us down here.
Miami is about 500 miles too far north!
The weather is forecast to return to normal in a day or two.
Come join us. It's seal meat for lunch.

Ahoy Dick and Chet,
As I write it's snowing heavily, more snow than ever before this season. The forecast is turning to sleet and then freezing rain.
Were we able I'd fire up the diesel and plunge south in a NY second { quick as a cobra) Alas we're committed to Catherine Anna's, the DGD ,
schooling and some other tasks till Aprils end.
We're happy to hear that the Marshalls parked the plough and opted for Miami's night life. Boogy down Dick and Jane. Remember to drink plenty of sunscreen!
Love to all,
Linda and Skip Among the lucky ducks who've also discovered TCing.

We had 4 to 6" of snow a few days ago.... it has melted... today we were warned.... that tomorrow night we will get about an inch of rain and snow accumulation on Thursday...
We are mapping possible routes to the SW...
I'll bet many of you are dreaming of spring with us.

Simple repair didn't hold
We stopped at Kerrville... over 90 degrees F.... very high humidity... chose not to stay in the area... Diesel was 50 cents higher per gallen than anywhere else in the last 6 states...our tank full was $14 higher than 20 or 30 miles away.
... for those of you that are going to the rally.... fill up before you get there. Very nice town. We drove around the campground... BIG
We are now in San Angelo, TX... trying to keep moderate temperatures... not too hot during the day... not too cold at night Visited a very nice art gallery yesterday... and the State Park (we'd spend days there before (never a night... You can see Sams and Walmart from the park.
Diesel is $2.31/gallon at Sams
We are still trying to justify the high costs of buying and keeping our T and TC In November of 2002 we optimistically hoped for 1400 nights...
... tonight will be #1088 ... now we'll be happy to get 1096 nights (3 years if we can last just 8 more days.
We hope that you have goals and reach for them...
Chet and Janet

Dear Janet & Chet,
We're happy to hear that your still awanderin,
One to remember-
Happiness is Good Health and a Bad Memory.
We're tuning up for our first foray, this has been our first year since acquiring our TC that we parked the rig all winter, lots of family stuff required our attention. I'm in my 79th year and, with the luck of the Irish on full, still aiming to keep on chuggling.
We are the lucky guys whose life partners jab us with pointed sticks and wish to roll on to new adventures. A rare condition in this day and age.
You two have generated a great deal of admiration as a result of the many of your adaptations and innovations as you've traveled far and near. While many of your contemporaries have vegetated on the sofa. Hip, Hip, Hooray!
Love to all,
Linda & Skip
