Happy New Year...
thanks to all of you that have sent best wishes here on the forum, by PM, and emails... we've had one heck of a time... things are looking up.
Our netscape email address was recently hacked... bad enough to close out that account... if you need our new email address please send me a PM.... if we know you we'll provide the new address.
Our camper is clean, repaired, modified, ready.... just the turn of a key to start the truck and we are ready for a trip on a nice day in the spring... not to cold, not too hot... we want to be spoiled.
We hope to see all of you on the road.

Our camper looked like this inside earlier this year... and then changed to all electric cooking.
You can see it here: 2014 Project report, Stove removal... Electric mod

Another project during 2014:
Our Truck camper is a 2003 Lance 1161... It has been kept on the truck for more than 10 years.... the only time it has been off the truck is for maintainance...
The leaf springs have been slowly sagging.... but my air bags kept it level.
This year I finally decided to have a couple of leaves added. I made an appointment with Lawrence Henegar at Knoxville Spring Service. I left the camper on the truck so that he'd know what I expected.
I told him that II'd like it level, that all of the tanks were set up for a trip... i.e., diesel fuel full, propane full, freshwater full, holding tanks empty
I also let the air out of the airbags and asked him to leave them for me.
You can see the stock springs that came on our 2003 GMC 1 ton crewcab in this picture (this is how I add air to the airbags, 20 strokes of the pump to 100PSI.

This spring shop is like the blacksmith shops when I was a kid... dirty... noisy... cold in winter, sweltering hot in summer.
A couple of guys got busy while Janet and I waited in the office. I wanted to get out there for a look....
I managed to get a picture and a warped angle.

Then realized that as long as I didn't get in the way no one would fuss...

The table has a very powerful hydrolic system to bend the springs... to reshape or fit extra leaves.
