Janet was sewing.... I was bouncing from window to window. I'd been watching the river and the bridge... this group slipped in with out me noticing....

Being nosey I focused on them... trying to figure out what they were doing.

The rain let up a little, more help came... I could see a little better but it wasn't helping. I had never seen anything like what ever it was they had.

They were assembling a boat lift.

They sink it... pull the boat over it and blow air into the tanks... they told be that this one will lift a very large boat out of the water.

One of the fancy houses up river had a boat dock built to accomadate this lift. The boat will be completely out of the water with the flip of a switch... and ready to go, back in the water with another flip of the switch.

Do you think my truck camper will fit on there?

It turns out that the company is in Cookeville, TN, about 1 hour west from our house in Oak Ridge.

They used a mapping program to get here... not a good idea, they hauled all of these parts up here on back roads... which were the most direct path... but also the very slowest route possible.
