After visiting a few old friends we headed back to the St Albans Road Side Park.
The park has a nice walking path so that we can get a little exercise.
Just because we don't like campgrounds doesn't mean we can't hve favorite parking spots.
The new St Albans / Nitro Bridge is coming along nicely.

Shaking my head... 40 year ago when we left that area was trailer parks and old houses... the river was so nasty with chemicals that nothing lived in it and people with money didn't want to live beside it.
Now, the river is pretty clean, the wealthy people bought up and bulldozed the old property and built those beautiful houses.
We lived just to the left of the nice stone chimney.
Our kids wouldn't remember it.

We are walking for exercise while we are getting a break from the rain.
The St Albans Road Side Park has some pull through RV parking with free electricity. They also have very good potable water and a dum station.
US-60 is just across the guard rail...reminds me of camp grounds beside a railroad track or interstate highway.
You can see the empty pull throughs.

We saw some people (usually women) parking there at night. Times are tough when people are sleeping in automobiles ans small SUVs.
We never saw anyone checking people but the city police patroled it occassionally.

This area is for groups and family reunions, etc. I think people reserve them. The sheds are completely seperate from the camping area.
