We watched some TV... went to bed. I checked the Trimetric... 95%... and turned on the PlatCat.

It was getting colder early in October... it would be about 30ºF. I have had the PlatCat for a couple of years but never really used it.

I set the Platcat thermostat for 70ºF... being optimistic. We both like being comfortable.

Around 4:30 AM I had to go to the bathroom... I quietly slid off the bed and climbed down to the floor... I felt the heat. I couldn't hear the tiny exhaust fan.

On the way back to bed I tried to take pictures with my iPhone5... didn't work very well.

I looked at the Trimetric... it said that we still had 89% of our batteries left.

I'm very conservative with my battery use... never more than 75 amps will be used... before we start the generator.

We had used 6%... or 4.5 A over 6.5 hours... that includes everything in the camper, not just the Platcat.

I was really pleased. I was looking forward to cold nights to play and learn the best way to utalize the PlatCat.

Here's the percentage remaining on the trimetric. It is very dark in our truck camper... except for all of the LED's on equipment.

Morning came with decisions... I have never been to Columbus, Ohio. A lot of my school friends from St Albans WV moved there to find work years ago. Nearby US-62 would take us all the way in to the center of Columbus.

We couldn't think of a single reason to go... I didn't feel compelled to visit someone that after being out of high school 56 years... they would probably say "WHO!" even if I managed to find a number to try and phone them.

No... we'd stay on US-50 East

I didn't expect to see mountains when we topped this rise... south eastern Ohio is quite hilly.
