Personally I would just carry a 5 full of diesel, you should be fine.
you should know the rule of the West, when you can fill up do so.
I did your trip less Yellowstone but with many other stops all over the West with a 25 gallon tanks on a rig that got maybe 10.5 mpg.
We normally need to whiz every 200 mile +/- so we fill up the truck and empty the bladder. New truck and larger trailer, the truck gets bett mpg and the truck now has 36 gallon tank, still have to whiz.

There is a Texas plated car driving around the resort here with a bumper sticker that says, "When Obama took office gas was 1.97 a gallon". I would start looking at 1/2 tank I have never had a problem finding diesel. Gas Buddy is your friend. Just have to ask isn't Houston once enough?![[emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif "biggrin")

Last year I payed as much as $4.45 in Montana for diesel. Today had the coach out and topped the tank at $0.989. Got to love my Kroger points. The price was great before using points at $1.78 for diesel.

Texas doesn't spend much on education. Although there was a time about 7 years ago I had to spend $5.10 for diesel there. Really glad that even in central Florida they only stiff us for $2.34 for diesel.

That is fact, if any one bothers to go back into this thread to the beginning in 2008 they would see we were all complaining/lamenting the fact that fuel prices were well over $4 a gallon and in some places over $5. Even John and Angela made a comment about fuel being even more in Canada, almost to $6 after converting liters to gallons and so forth.
My self, I'm going to take advantage of low fuel prices this February and I have a 6500 mile trip planned, and assuming I can average 14mpg I would need roughly 470 gallons, and multiply that by $2.20 a gallon, my fuel cost would be in the neighborhood of $1200 for the whole trip. That is a real bargain.

Yep. We only have about 1500 miles left to go before the summer but next fall we have a cross country trip coming up. The last time we did it we were going through a few hundred dollars a day of fuel. This time it will be half of that.

$2.29 per gallon today when I filled up. Saw it the other day at Casey's (local convenience store) for $2.26. These prices are for diesel. Forgot to mention that!

All lover Tucson regular is, and has been selling for $1.79 for a couple of weeks.
