And last weekend's adventure - Ellison PP just outside Vernon. Beautiful but too far away for a weekend from Vancouver [emoticon]

First try, hope it works.....

For $29.00/night, no services, not even a picnic table, this is what you get at Chéticamp,N.S.

The two RVs you see have electricity, plugged into the building, not even enough electric to run the A/C....and for only $34.00/night

This one is the Cabot trail Campground in Baddeck. For the same price as Chéticamp,$34.00/night, except with two services rather than one weak one, we found a very nice place, away from the main road and a stone's throw to Baddeck. Very nice place, I'd stay there if ever I was in the area again.

We just got back from five great days in Barkerville. Barkerville and Wells are an hour east of Quesnel. The ghost town was restored and includes many displays and live street performances in the town site.

We stayed at Cariboo Joy campsite. The owner Joy is a wonderfull person. It's not a big city campground but it is serviced and quirky.

It's only 5 minutes from Barkerville and right on the edge of Wells which has a great artist's community with some giftshops and galleries. Wells is small which makes for an easy walking experience.

It's well worth the hour drive off Highway 97.

Cheers
Chris

Our long weekend - Gallagher Lake BC. Used to be a KOA. We were right on the beach. Place is a bit chopped up but don't let that stop you from coming. Nice place overall.
