Monongahela National Forest in WV last week.
It was brutally hot and sticky and we were just parked for the night, so I ran the portable generator out of the bed of the pickup in order to facilitate an early departure the next day. It was surprisingly not too loud inside the trailer.

I believe your comment was intended to make it racist. Not funny.

No, maybe thats just in your mind. I understand that some of our members may support antifa and blm and they have been changing a lot of names of places, teams, etc so they may even change “White” river at some point. It’s not a ridiculous to think it may happen when considering what has already happened. There will probably also be many other names and places changed. It is a very beautiful area no matter what they name it

Please let's not mess up this great thread with politics of any kind, one way or the other. Thanks.

Why why would anyone bother to even include that note unless one was trying to stir up that pot?

Here I am boondocking at valley of the Gods in UT last year. Would this be considered a religious post?

With all the state, regional, and national parks are closed to overnight stays I found a BLM spot somewhat nearby.
The road becomes dirt for the last 10ish miles or so, and I was happy to find it in pretty great condition all things considered.
They have something like 5-7 developed spots with picnic tables, fire rings, and overhead canopies (no hook-ups but they did have a pooper), but there are also about a dozen large open areas that you can camp, too (without the tables, ring, ...). We ended up right outside the main developed area in a nice level spot. I didn't use the makeshift fire ring you can see in the photo due to the pines nearby and the ground being littered in pine needles. I don't need that in my life...
The cat did well on the trip mostly sleeping in his cubby until we arrived.
Nice sunsets on top of the mountain (crispy 40F at night).
Can't complain about waking up to this view.
