Moving right along, albeit a little slower (130:1 final drive in lo/lo) in the Little Sluice, the Rubicon;

lonely camp in a gravel pit so. of Coldfoot, AK. The Brooks range in the background: It's 11:45 P.M. when this shot was taken (June 20th) We drank margaritas until the sun went down, which it didn't;

and finally, the MOST remote boondocking place I've ever been: in the middle of the Visciano Desert, Baja, Sept. 1976 in my old FJ55 and broken trailer springs. One of the driest places on the planet. Nothing grow more than a few inches from the ground.

That's a nice spot, is that walker lake in the background? I was just thinking about heading down to that area, maybe hit up buckeye hot springs. All these pictures are making me want to get out there now!!
