check out the local dealarships around you. do your homework... if we had t do it all over again, without a doubt we would be in a RAPTOR 5th wheel toy WWhauler. creature comforts. counter space (WW models of ALL makes do not have that) and the general footprint for interior living is more condusive to our lifestyle...... not that WW is bad....just that we have 4 males, one female in our camping ontorage....... so the privacy, dual bunks, kitcen counter space and general comforts are beyond what WW has been able to keep up with. my brother who has 3 daughters is in the same situation, ... he purchased the raptor, and loves it... we hang in his place and send the kids to the WW with lawn chairs and they hang there... it just isn't a "long time get away place" good luck with your search, but do yourself a favor and spend a while in the proposed trailer and imagine what your usage is going to be......

We recently bought a FR TT Wildwood LE29BHBS 2008. I have been trying to understand the tire load rating label located on the rear side label near the front.

The tire load label on the side of my LE 29BHBS TT says 3596 lbs. Model of tire is: ST225/75D15/D cold pressure is 65 psig

In looking on the Carlisle tire site for load ratings it specifies 2540 lbs. I dont know what the 3596 number means. It is a typed value on the tire info label sticker where they list tire size, and cold air pressure. This doesnt seem consistant with a D rated load rating

I would appreciate any ideas people have, I need to understand this. When asking the dealer the comment was the manufacturer wouldnt put anything unsafe on the trailer and i want to know it is satisfactorily designed for the load.

Following is the load info on the TT.

The gross weight rating of the RV is 11,035 pounds
Hitch Weight (lb) 875-
Axle Weight-6820
Dry Ship Weight- 7695
GVWR-11,035---ok off nameplate
CCC (Cargo Capacity)---2961
Ext Length—34’ 3’’

Hi wildwood1 - Welcome to the forum.

Could you please start a new topic for this question? This thread is about a specific situation with Weekend Warrior trailers and your question doesn't really fit here.

Thanks!

THIS THREAD SEEMS LIKE IT TALKS ABOUT PROBLEMS BUT DOESN'T REALLY SHOW ANY PROOF. DOES ANYBODY HAVE PICTURES SO I KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR. OTHER THAN IN PROPER TIRES WHICH LEAD TO SOME BLOW OUTS. WHICH IN MOST CASES IS TIRE NEGLECT DO TO UNDER OR OVER INFLATION. THE TONGUE WEIGHT IS AN ISSUE BUT ITS BEING RESOLVED. WHAT TO LOOK FOR? SHOULD I BUY OR WHAT OTHER BRANDS DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Scott the issues WW has are and have been proven. Do a searh on this site and you will find numerous different posts with pictures showing and discussing them. You'll also find plenty of post from people not having any issue's with WW.

I just picked up my LE3105 from the WW service facility today. I took it in because I found some cracks in the top of the rear cap. Two cracks, one at each corner. While at the repair facility in Perris they also welded some extra braces on the side. Per the letter (class action suit) I received, I thought the stress issues were with the TT, but I figure some extra bracing can't hurt. Overall experience was great. They replaced the cap, fixed a couple of things inside and it was ready before the estimated completion time. Donald was my service writer and he was professional and a pleasure to deal with.

I've received paperwork in the mail on the CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT that is proceeding forward on the WW's Trailers - and the paperwork I received. It states "The Prophylactic Fix will be offered to all Settlement Class members who won FS 2600, FS 2800, FS300, and the Superlite models.

So after calling several numbers at WEEKEND WARRIOR in Perris - and talking to several people on trying to get our trailer in for this repair! and to discuss other concerns on the TRUE weight (tongue and trailer) weight! and the tires being rated at "D". The two individuals I spoke to did not have the answers and suggested I call and speak to a Jason Duncan (Service Manager @ Weekend Warrior in Perris, Calif). So - I placed a call and was able to speak to Jason regarding this lawsuit! and my unit/model (FS30) - I was informed that my unit was not one of the units covered! nor even consider for this repair or having this problem. The only units covered were 2000 & 2001 FS units - not sure on the lengths? 26, 28 or 30 - and the superlites.

So after talking to Jason for 1/2 or so - and trying to figure out repairs that might be needed? Front tongue flex - etc - I was left with a bad feeling. I see ALL OF THESE Warriors FS30's being towed by Ford Excursions on most all the trips I've taken since owning ours NEW (Jan 05) and have been told that our tow hitch - and receiver hitch are not rated for this trailer! WOW! Funny - the place we purchased ours from (Irvine, Calif) checked out our tow vehicle - connected it up - and said that we were good to go! trailing and all!

The setup we have - is rated for 12,500 lbs - with a tongue weight of 1200lbs - The load leveling bars are 1200lbs - apparently not good enough. Suggested that I go to either 1400 or 1700lb bars for towing! which would be a completely different setup -
towing setup. How is that! that the place we purchased this trailer from - who set it up! and NOW - WW is telling me a need a bigger hitch on the tow vehicle and a heavier towing set-up for the trailer! When I asked what it is that I need or should have to properly tow! I'm told that don't know - just something able to handle a heavier load! Any suggestions? Please
