Hello, new member, 1st post and owner of a WW F2300.
We had 3'of snow dumping on us numerous times last year. So when I found a very inexpensive WW for sale, I was aware it had some water damage. Basically a soft spot in the kitchen reinforced by the PO that said he didn't use it much anymore.
I used it 2X this summer; Lost 1 wheel bearing but otherwise it seemed fine.
What a beautiful built trailer to be such a POS. I'll be posting my repairs but from the fridge forward, the entire floor is gone. The roof is damaged and I've never seen such an amount of sealer used as a bandage.
These things are built so cheap, the finger lapped horizontal roofing, plumbing leaks and all that I have read now!!??
Mine is probably the shortest model they made, so I may be AOK in the frame dept. But the tires and rims and all the horrible construction have me shaking my head in lack of understanding. Lipstick didn't help the pig....
I had a Coleman popup that I thought was junk. Now I have a 25K$ Toy Hauler that's junk. I'll fix it better than new but boy do I wish I looked around more before jumping on this. I pulled in, saw a beautiful interior and a checker board awning and it sucked me in.
Anyway, thank you all for sharing your problems and I'm very sorry to hear it happened to any of us.

First of all welcome to RV.net. Sorry you got a bum deal, but at least you didn't buy a brand new unit and have the issue. Still a large number of WW on the forum so don't hesitate to ask for help as you did into the repairs.

My SuperLight 5th wheel is in the shop now. It looks like $2500 to repair the broken frame. The frame is so inadequate that the shop won't warranty the work as their usual practice.
So this could be a recurring issue.

I hate to say this, but your $2500.00 quote is pretty good. I paid $4600.00 to repair my Superlite FB1900 2 years ago. The repair place worked with us and we submitted a claim to our insurance company....they paid everything but our deductible! We still have issue with the trailer such as leaks around the wheel wells, the seal was never the same after the repair to the frame...? Oh well, we still love the trailer. Go figure......good luck with yours!

I finally got the leak around the wheel wells. I had enough. called Insurance and filed a claim. They totaled it. I am now the proud owner of a Keystone carbon. with a roof that is made for the Northeast and a frame that wont twist and break.

I never though about an insurance claim.
I have charges hail damage but not frame damage.

What we were told......to file the insurance claim the repair shop needs to state that the damage to the frame could have been caused by traveling down a rough backroad with many unimproved areas such as deep potholes.....being that it is a toy hauler it should not be a problem....Good Luck!

Has anyone had to repair their tailgate? I have a soft spot on mine and will have to tear into it some time this year and I just want to know what to expect.

Repair shop had to rebuild mine from being rear ended. Nothing crazy. I did reinforce with angle to strengthin it. I'll see if I can find some pictures.
