I agree, but I have come to realize that, that is just part of the deal. If this is your type of lifestyle, then get ready to keep your trailer in good repair, either by doing it yourself or by opening your wallet and having the repair shop do it. (I have a whole new respect for the $90.00/hr they charge now, but dont have the time they take to schedule and do repairs) I am fortunate enough to have the skill sets to repair almost any part of my trailer. I am sure something else is going to fail in the not to distant future, but by doing my due diligence and micro inspecting the trailer, I should be able to keep it to preventative maintenance rather than emergency on the road repair.
Leaving this Thursday, headed to the NY/PA boarder... After all this rain there has to be some great mud holes we can get stuck in

I totally agree with the preventative maintenance and do all my own repairs just because you cant trust the stealers to do what should be done. Luckily I havent had any of these major issues with my FK2100. I really feel for you guys who have had to do major reconstuction to your fairly new and expensive trailers. Its just not right! But what do ya do? Your repair looks really good! After every one bites the bullet and gets done fixing these things the way they should have been in the first place I'm sure you will enjoy them for a long time

Wow. I just finished reading all 37 pages over the course of the day. This morning I looked at an 07 2600. I have been looking for the last 3 years and this is the first time I've looked at a WW. I was very impressed with the inside. It has the Onan 5 also. Everything else I have looked at has had the smaller one.
I really liked this unit but after reading this whole thread I do not know if it would be worth talking to the salesman again. I was told the unit is "new" bought from another dealership going out if business therefore they are selling it as "used".
I am still a little confused. Do all of the 07's suffer from the tongue and/or frame problem? They are asking $26,000 but I know that's just a starting point.

Have you looked at the frame on this unit to see if it has the old style or the new (fixed) style? If it's the older style, then you're buying a potential problem (big problem). If not, then you can cross that issue off the list and look at it the same way you'd look at any other trailer.
It would be worth buying a VIN report to see what's really happened with this unit. It seems strange to list it as used if it's only transfered from dealer to dealer.
If you've read this whole thread, then you've read about the worst of the problems my family has had with our trailer. In spite of those issues, there's no way to measure the good times we've had.

Until yesterday I never have really looked at WW so I was not sure what to look for. Now that I've done a little research I'm curious to go take a second look. I'm trying to visualize this. What is the easiest way to tell if it has aleady had the upgrade. And it sounds like an 07 will already have the thicker steel right?

Yes the 07 do have the thicker steel. 3/16" thick steel is what it should be at the tongue. The earlier ones had 1/8" thick and bent up over time. The retro WW did was to replace the 1/8" tongues with thicker ones when brought in for the repair. My neighbor had WW do it on his 06 WW.

There's more to it than that. With the "prophylactic fix", they actually cut off the old A-shaped section of the frame and replaced it with an new boxy A. If memory serves me, it looks something like this:

I would look for that additional box shape to ensure that the extra support is there.

I appreciate the feedback. I will look for that when i go back. I really like the floorplan of this unit. I'm just scared of potential problems. I did ask the salesman about purchasing a warranty and he said that of course was an option. Are there any likely problems with this year/model that a normal warranty would not cover?
I can start a new thread if need be also.

Go to Warrior Lifestyles web site they have one for $24,000.00 with a 4 year service agreement. They are affiliated with WW and can give you info on the trailer. They have a FS2500 SL as well. Lighter trailer with almost the same features.

Ok so I read through the most settlement and almost all of this thread. Lot's of good info here.
I'm looking at used 2007 Superlite 5th wheel (not sure if it's an SL 2805 or SL 3005) and I'm wondering if I should steer clear.
I see where the SL 2805 and SL 3005 are mentioned in Exhibit B of the Settlement Agreement but it doesn't say anything specific about those models. Also I didn't see a Prophylactic fix for those models.
Any advice?
