I am so darn confused. I for the life of me cannot seem to figure out how much over weight we are for our TV ??
Please if anyone out there could give me some idea of where we stand I would be ever so grateful. I have a headache from trying to figure it out. I read all the posts and I am still too stupid to get it. Took the truck out to weigh with full fuel and me.
This is what I got at the CAT scale.
Steer Axle 4720 #
Drive Axle 3460 #
Gross weight 8180 #
Went back and weighed with 5er partially ready to go. No food or clothes yet.
Steer Axle 4800 #
Drive Axle 5820 #
Trailer Axle 9940 #
Gross weight 20560 #
Thnx All

Steer Axle- 5040 lbs
Drive Axle- 3300 lbs
Gross - 8340 lbs
Truck GVW- 12200lbs
Finally got the truck and trailer on the scale yesterday on the way home from a camping trip.
Steer Axle- 5040 lbs, no change from empty.
Drive Axle- 5560 lbs
Trailer Axle- 7900 lbs
GCW- 18500 lbs
This was with me and about the same amount of fuel as the empty weigh, but my 77 lbs son was not in the truck. Also, the empty weight did not include my hitch.

Here is one to provoke thought:
My rig:
Truck full fuel & 2 persons 20,820 lb
Trailer full water & propane 23,540 lb (5,430 lb pin)
Smart Car on truck 1780 lb
Gross weight 46,140 lbs
All axles well below max weight and vehicles under GVWR & GCWR.
Please leave space if pulling out in front of me, if I hit you it will likely leave a mark!

Just weighed the truck yesterday, my tubby carcass, full tank of fuel, hitch, and everything I normally carry in the truck plus a set of golf clubs for good measure.
Now I need to weigh the truck and trailer combo at some point.
The truck.

I Don't know if this will simplify things or not, but on one of the RV Forums I belong to, a link was posted to a website strictly for weights on fifth wheels. The link is www.fifthwheelst.com
It definately helped me and if it can unconfuse me then hopefully it can help everyone. By the way, the above address is not a link so you will probobly have to type it into your address bar. Hope this helps.
