We are fortunate enough to have two 5th wheel trailers
2014 Keystone Cougar 327 RES which we have now parked and use as a summer cottage
and
2005 Keystone Cougar 285 EFS which is easier to tow and park.
2014 Ford F250 Super Duty
Weight at an MTO commercial scale (Ministry of Transportation Ontario)
Truck steering axle (front) 4,431 lbs
Truck rear axle trailer attached 9,480 lbs
Truck and trailer combo 16,799 lbs
Trailer only while attached to truck 7,474 lbs.
Both units were loaded from a return camping trip, two 30lbs propane tanks full, 2/3 potable water in holding tank. Grey and Black tanks empty which is our typical travel configuration

There is NO WAY your rear axle is at 9489 with those trailers... IF so, you are WAY over your RAWR... My 2020 F359 has a RAWar of 7259... my 2915 F350 was 7100

I think you are fine! Just remove a complete clutch assembly from my tool box and I would be at or within SAE Ratings. You have PLENTY of room to grow.
You added weight to your front axle that's good. Your hitch must be forward of axle centerline.
Do you have the AISIN trans?

Well the TV is fine, but the GVWR on that 5er is 16,800# I calculate yours to be 18,100# so about 1,300# over GVWR, and you have your trailer axles maxed out.
Looks like you have 3,900# of stuff in the 5er, are you an anvil sales person??

I'm wondering how many of you tow one with a 2500? My wife and I are looking to buy a 5er to tow with our 2017 Ram CTD 2500. Before the payload police start preaching, I don't want to hear it. The 2500 is what we have so we'll have to make it work.
We are NOT going to go out and buy a 3500.
Just say no to the payload police ">

As a unofficial member of what is referred to as the weight police, please keep in mind that this is an educational forum. We are not going to jump out and arrest you.
Having spent more than 20 years as a weight and balance specialist (ACFT Loadmaster) I have more understanding than most. I have operated under various rules running from peace time "take no chances- be safe", to combat, "just get it there, and try not to break anything."
After you post, read the comments and make the decision that take the various opinions into account. Its your life. Unfortunately our decisions sometimes put others at risk.

Yup, you're the one I was referring to. I guess you just couldn't help yourself. ![scratchead [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/scratchead.gif)
I asked a simple question of those that tow with a 2500.
There are many example of 5ers being towed with 3/4 ton trucks over in the picture section of the 5th wheel forum.
