Well, I guess this was our first "mod". We lacked places to put stuff like phones, wallets and keys by our beds, so my wife thought about doing what we did.

She bought a few of the household heater vent covers that are designed to go over the heater vents on the floors of homes and redirect the air. We used heavy duty velcro along the edges and stuck them to the walls by each bed. Now everyone has a place to stick their phone, wallet, ipad, etc.. when they bed down for the night.

Great idea. Where did you buy the heater vent cover?

Home Depot...Lowes...

Wall mount mail/file slots for offices work well too and are made for the task. The screw holes are usually the slot type to make them easy to hang.

I really like your lights Zeppe. They look like they would light up your campsite without lighting the entire world. So do your lights plug into outlet, or have you wired them in somehow. Also please tell me which LEDs you ordered, since searching for LED on Amazon gives you way too many responses to try to sort through.

Thanks All,

Yeah they were great this weekend. I got a lot of great comments from passers by. Unfortunately the camper next me, liked the area enough to intrude on my campsite most of the weekend with her car, so a picture would be worthless.

As far as the lights:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MVMRS6O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01

I am very pleased, although I would, if I could, mount them up a little higher.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe, instead of the bent washers to clamp to the frame, one could drill the frame rail up through the lower edge, then mount the (bent) eye-bolt vertically through the hole with a nut on either side of the frame rail. Adjust as high as you want up to the sub-floor.

As an engineer I would not recommend drilling the bottom flange. You want all the strength that you can get. If you were set on that idea that middle of the web would be your best option, but I would not recommend modifying your frame.

I also have another MOD that I have hidden up there, that I will share later, so it was my best option in my case.

Thanks for the ideas.
