Besides, if it had the older 5 speed trans/6 speed trans, that trans dogged the Hemi performance with it's poor ratios.

In fact, the 5 speed/6 speed is more of a 4 speed since there is only 5 gears available in "Auto" mode and 2 of them are overdrives. It's essentially is like a GM 4 speed auto trans with an additional super low ratio overdrive gear. Now add that highway geared axle of 3.55 and you have a low torque multiplication factor next to that new GM that has a high torque multiplication factor.

That newer GM essentially has the same power output, HP and torque, as my 5.0 4V DOHC engine and it's transmission is geared almost identical. Plus he's got the same 3.73 axle gearing I have. I know the great torque he talking about, I feel it everyday. [emoticon]

Right? I thought the same. I bought a set of those same tires in 20" just before winter for plowing season. Best damn snow tires ever. Funny thing is they say there not rates for severe snow...?? Ohh well

Keep in mind where I am, winter is no joke up here! I also hunt, fish and spend plenty of time on jobsites so A/T's are a requirement for me.

Duratrac's are an awesome tire too! Now that I see where you are from, your right. You need good, aggressive stuff to make it anywhere up there.

Yeah tomorrow we're getting the storm of the season I guess, weather networks and such are all in a panic, I guess we could get a few feet of wet, heavy snow with crazy wind. Yay Eastern Canada.....

I love my Duratrac tires, but now I feel like my truck is a pavement queen compared to yours. LOL

The new tow vehicle. According to Sam Elliot, I guess I now have guts and glory. Or is that just the truck? Not sure how that works.
