Just picked up my 2014 Silverado 1500 LT w/ the Max Trailering package earlier this week. It is more or less loaded, minus the buckets and nav, which I didn't want. Also, in order to get leather I would have had to get the next model up that would have forced me into buckets and nav... It is much more quiet on the road than the Ram, and because of the torque curve being more generous at the bottom end, the Chev 5.3 feels pretty much just as strong off the line as the Dodge 5.7. It has the 3.73 rear end as well so I'm prertty confident it'll pull my rig pretty easily. Can't wait to get out to tow!

Nice truck but I doubt it is nearly as quick or pulls as hard as a 5.7 with the same rear end. Like I said nice truck though.

The Ram was a 3.55 and this is a 3.73, which is part of the reason I'm pretty confident it won't be an issue. The difference in final drive should make the power difference of the stock motors negligible for towing purposes.
