DW and I are sitting at Oak Mountain state park in Pelham Alabama which is right outside Birmingham. Nice quite park with plenty of shade but no satellite reception due to tree's but that is fine because we just want some quiet time together so if you are ever in this area check this place out

We recently just returned from a two week road trip. Here are the places we stayed.

Hwy 12, Idaho, Wilderness Gateway FS Campground. Loop B, Site 3:

North American RV and Yurt Village, Coram, Montana - 5 miles west of Glacier National Park

Drove all the way to Priest Lake State Park, Indian Creek CG, Idaho, from West Glacier. Arrived around 5pm after a 25 mile plus drive just to the CG on a 35mph winding road. All large sites were taken, first come, first served. Spent the night in the visitor center parking lot for the price of a tent site. Very memorable night. Heard more wildlife than any other stay on our trip:

Farragut State Park, Athol, Idaho Site 216:

Our last stay on our trip was at Hells Gate State Park in Lewiston Idaho, Birch Loop, Site 47. Pull through at the end of a loop. Notice the road to the right of our truck:

Nice pics Renee, we were in Farragut last year, in site 185, loved the Brig, rather depressing though that the Navy doesn't put money into it, even though it is a State Park, has great potential.

I agree. I think it should be a National Monument in honor of those that fought for our country. German POW's were also kept there and used to work the fields in the surrounding area, many of them settling up there. We thought it was an amazing place and never knew of the size of facilities till we went.
