YIKES![emoticon] That campground looks like a RV-dealership...with all the RVs parked so closely together. Thanks for the heads-up on this campground.
(Making note to myself: Do NOT Camp there)

We don't mind tight sites like that if it's just a place to eat dinner and sleep, while seeing/doing things in the area. But if we we're spending our time relaxing in the campground then that wouldn't be our first choice.

We just got back from a month on the road and we had a mix of campgrounds - some tight like that one, and others with wide-open spaces.

We stayed 4 nights but I thought maybe it was just me. For $33 a night I guess I am just spoiled by places like this

site #12 at Whidbey Island NAS for $25 a night. Sure, it is full because it was the 4th of July but at least we had some room!

^^ I'm digging that happy camper flag. DW saw it in my camping world email the other day and had to have it. We picked it up yesterday afternoon.

I've been to tuxbury a few times that is the nicest site I've ever seen. Did you have full hookups? Mine was over grown with a swampy area behind the camper. You lucked out.

It did rain a few hours the last night we were there and I recall a fellow camper letting the office know during checkout that he had 3-4" of standing water in his whole campsite. I did have FHU and a direct line of sight to satelite tv. The road to the campsite was heavily washed out/rutted when we were leaving. I had no problems really and I enjoyed my stay.... I'd go back again.

Noticed you have Kirkland as a last name; same as ours. We are from Alabama; have a son in Colorado so we travel there a lot. We like a lot of the campsites that you have posted. Keep posting.

General Butler State Park Carolloton KY. Park was empty. Just us and my parents in the site behind us. Great weather for August. Highs in the 70's

Sycamore Springs Park, English, IN. Site #15.

Nice trash bins at each site and scattered throughout the park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the showerhouse was the nicest I have ever been in at a CG, park was clean and quiet. Best part; it's all free. There are stacks of free firewood everywhere (too bad Crawford Co is having a burn ban right now) and the sites (electric only) are free. No dump station, but for the price, I will pay $5 to dump at our local county park or $10 at Pilot if I have to. We will certainly go back.
