Topic: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Posted By: Dixie Flyer on 02/04/20 08:12am

Good morning everyone. The weather forecast for us is some very heavy rain Wednesday and Thursday. As much as five inches, Wow that's a lot. Got my new glasses yesterday, can't say they are as they should. Seems my sight isn't as good as it should be. Yesterday I drove the 72 Lincoln and it shut off as I was coming home, I finally got it running. Still don't know what I did to fix it. I just fiddled with the ignition wires and the butterfly on the carburetor. Got in and turn the key and it started right up.

Dan and Lori sent me some sad news concerning Anna, I will wait and let them tell you what is going on when they get around to it. This June Suzie and Anna will be fourteen years old. Both have had a great life. So glad Anna found the home she did with the Bransons. I just wish we lived closer together so we could visit more.e

Olay I need to get moving so I will close fro now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

It's getting dark outside. Rain is expected and lots of it. It's not cold outside, actually it is 69 degrees right now. Wish we were able to go somewhere. Just don't have the confidence to pull the camper right now. and I don't feel well enough to go anywhere. Suzie seems to be doing okay. She slows down during the day and she will take a nap. After her nap she is ready to rock and roll. Then after about an hour or so she is ready to nap again. She spends her days napping and romping with Dixie and listening for the front door bell to ring. Then she runs to the door with her I am going to kill you bark and growl. I have to back her off so I can answer the door. She is really scary when it comes to looks and growling. I really think she would bite someone of they decided to come in without me being there.

Okay I need to get going. So I will wish you well and say good eveing.

Good morning everyone. It is just as black as night outside right now. there is thunder and lightening and heavy rain. It's kind if scary to look outside and see the dark clouds and hard rain. We have Direct TV and lost the signal while all of this heavy stuff moves through. Satellite RV isn't good when storms move in as you will lose the signal The kitties have moved off the porch except Little Bit who has settles down in the cat condo. She really wants to be an indoor kitty. She gets up on the cat condo where she can look into the house and stays there for hours. I feel so sorry for her, but don't think it would work out with Suzie and Lizzie. Little Bit is sweet and loves attention. She will come and get in my lap when I sit on the porch. She follows Sue and I when we go out in the yard,

Okay I need to get mobbing so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. What a day we had yesterday. some folks had as much as 6-7 inches of rain. Lots of flooding with power lines down. Three tornadoes were reported in the area, lots of damage from that. Still a lot of flooding this ,morning as rivers and creeks are overflowing their banks. Bridges out, roads washed away with many homes and business flooded/ The wind is blowing very hard this morning making it cold. The high today will be in the med 40's. The wind makes it colder. Suzie and Dixie have gone for a walk with Sue. I am doing okay this morning. Need to get moving and ready to face the day. SO I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them

More rain today. lots of it according to the weather forecast. That is the last thing we need right now. Looks as if I may be called to a church in South Georgia. About four hundred miles from where we are now. WE would be closer to the Gulf and right on the Georgia, Alabama, Florida line. It is something to think about and pray about. really can't see that happing. We have a lot invested here and wouldn't want to sell this house and start over at our age. Our home is paid for and so is all of the toys, cars, truck, camper and so on. Oh well we will wait and see what happens.

I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babes a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them

Good morning everyone. It's late morning and I am just now getting around. Slept very hard and really didn't want to get up. Daughter Robin lives in South Georgia and I mean South Georgia right on the Georgia, Florida, Alabama line. Her church is looking for a pastor and asked her to see If I would come help them out. Robin's husband is in bad shape Kidney failure and other things. She told me she really needed her Dad right now. So if it works out Sue and I will be moving to Blakely, Georgia. It's four hundred miles to Blakely so it would be a long move for us. Our plan would be to stay in the State Park in the camper until we figure things out. This is really something that has caught us by surprise, hadn't really thought about being Pastor again especially moving from our home in Piedmont. What a change this would be. But whatever God wants we are open to serve him.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to five he fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. Pray for Sue and I that we get this right. Sometimes listening God is hard to understand.

Good morning everyone. We have to wait to hear from Robin to know what Is happening with the church. Meanwhile we sit and wait and pray for answers from God as to what He wants us to do.

What strange weather. Yesterday it was very warm with rain. Last night it was warm in the mid 60's all night. This morning it still warm and the rain has gone. Today we will be in the mid 60's all day with a chance of rain. All the firewood is gone even down to the last chip. So Maybe I will have to get some more.

I really don't know what to think right now concerning Robin and her situation and the situation with the church. Silence is sometimes the best thing. Just sit still and wait to see what develops.

I quess we will put selling the camper and truck on hold until we see what is going to happen with Robin and the church. Here I am at 78 years old, almost 79 looking to start a new chapter in my life. I have to be careful here because Sue and I are too old to start over.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
