Murphy is doing better. The vet no longer thinks the esophagus is the problem with Murf's coughing. They did some more x-rays and she has fluid buildup in her lungs. They gave her some meds and she is doing much better. One of the meds is a diuretic so she has to pee a lot. Poor thing has had a couple of accidents in the house (which is extremely rare for her) but she can't help it. We are gone long hours during the day and she can't hold it that long. We have put down some pee pads in her room to take care of it. We will be taking a weekend trip in the motorhome this weekend so we can be more attentive to her needs. I think maybe two are not fixed. The feral and the one our neighbor brought over M0nday. Now how do you catch the feral in th e live trap with out catching all the rest of them?

Good morning everyone. It's cloudy tis morning with expected rain today. Fire going in the fire place this morning as it is 39 degrees outside. Suzie seems to be sick. She is eating well, but seems to be losing weight, She has moments of throwing up, Not to often but at least two or three times a week. It's seems to be at night or early morning. She eats well and seems to be happy, can't figure it out. early mornings she is very active. Runs through the house with Dixie and then she will throw uo her breakfast, I guess maybe its time to tske to the vet and get a chck up. The kitties outside are well. They love the heated box. The heat pad seems to be the trick for them. Little Bit, the grey and whote kitty really likes it as she will spend much of the day on it. The Feral seems to like it as well. The feral is getting more use to us coming and going as it doesn't seem to mind us as much as it did. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. Walter and Dr. Doug are you still in the Gulf area?. How's the weather there? Oh by t e way My daughter Robib's husband Ed is in bad shape. He has kidney failure. He is home now with a cath. Please pray for them as they are going through some rough times right now. |

Wow! We just got a down pour of snow. It has stopped now but snow is in our area. Just above us going toward Asheville and Brevard the snow is heavy and accumulating. The DOT is having a hard time keeping the highway open between here and Brevard. It is 36 degrees right now. Snow is not sticking to the ground right now. don't expect any to stick today, but it's nice to watch it fall. Northern Greenville County is getting a lot of snow and it is sticking, That according to the weather person on channel seven. Okay I am going to go play with he fire in eth fire place. Need to put another log on the fire. Have a blessed day. |

Prayers go out to Robins husband. Hope nothing serious wrong with Suzie We have had a very mild winter so far. Now long cold spells and not much snow. We will be near 60 degrees on Monday. It has been 40 plus days since we had complete sunshine. Appears Monday will be the day to break that streak. * This post was edited 02/01/20 09:14am by Toolguy5 * Dan & Patty Miss Pickles the Pomeranian Princess Rainbow Bridge 8/8/2023 2020 GMC 3500 Sierra Denali 6.6 Duramax / Allison tranny 2021 Jayco Eagle 319MLOK BWRVK 3710 companion Maddy the Pampered Pom @ Rainbow Bridge 12-3-2013 |

Well the Buckeye Chuck and Punxsutawney Phil did not see their shadow. So they say Spring is not far away. I find this funny because yesterday was the first day in over a month where we saw the sun for most of the day. It evening reached 57 degrees. Today we will se much of the same before it turns dreary again. We will see rain snow and cooler temperatures in th 20 and 30's the next 5 plus days. |

Good morning everyone. Yesterday we saw temperatures in the 60's with lots of sumshine. Today we are supposed to be in the high 60's and by tomorrow rain moves in. I hope spring comes real soon and can enjoy being outdoors with the camper. Still have it and the truck for sale. Not planning any long trips though, sticking close to home this year. Well Chiefs won the super bowl. Did anyone see a commercial they liked? I didn't pay any attention to any of them as I was absorbed in something else during the commercials. Half time was too much skin. I guess it was aimed at the youth, not old folks like me. I am past the age of being tempted or enthused by half naked women jumping around on a stage. Enough of that. Okay the Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue is still going strong. Thanks to those who donate and help the cause. So proud that this organization is still going strong after all these years. If you have any money left over at the end of the month you might consider sending Old Fella some help. I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. I am still having trouble with the polymyalgia. Yesterday morning wasn't a good morning. Today I woke up in pain, but I seem to be getting better as the morning wears on. God bless you and I pray you have success in all you do. |
