Got word from Dan and Lori Branson that Anna went to rainbow bridge this afternoon. Anna is Suzie's sister. This coming June Anna would have been 14 years old. She was the very first puppy I rescued. She came from the litter, Savannah. Dixie, Suzie and Anna. That was the summer of 2006.Four little puppies scared to death. Left at a dumpster out in Burke County without food or water. Mrs. Barnes called me and told me about them. She and her husband went with me and stayed until all were safely rescued. Savannah was the last one to be rescued. It was a Sunday afternoon when I got the call Savannah was now in custody and they would wait on me to get to the dumpster and give her to me. It didn't take long for them to get used to the good life. two meals a day. A nice cozy bed with treats and an Air conditioned house to live in and a great big back yard filled with squirrels to chase. They had the best time. It was wonderful to watch them become puppies again. No fear, just all the fun and feeling safe and protected. It was also fun to watch them at night come in and run straight to their kennel where there was a treat waiting for them. They knew which crate was theirs and would run into it, get their treat and settle in for the night. You never heard a sound out of them until the next morning when it was time to let them out. Once the kennel crate was open they would run to the back door and wait for me to open it so they could go outside and play. those were some great days. Old Fella would go outside and supervise them. It seems like it was life time ago and for some it has been. So much has happened since then. So many good memories.

Good morning everyone. Lots of sunshine today but a bit on the cool side. It's 50 degrees outside with a slight wind blowing. Definitely need a jacket to go outside. We are out od firewood so I will have to make arrangements to get some more. Daughter Robin's husband is in bad shape. Kidney failure. Says he is not going to go through dialysis, Says he is ready for the Lord to take him home. Robin says she can deal with that so we will wait and see what happens. Ed is in his early 70's says he has made his peace with God and ready to meet Jesus. Trying to work out details with the church in Blakely. Don't know if that is going to work out. Just have to wait and see. I figured out with God you don't get into a hurry. Just sit back and wait, it all happens in God's time. So I will be putting my ducks in a row while I wait. Just have to find my ducks. Talked with Dandy Dan last night. He and Lori are missing Anna. What a great dog she was. Always the lady, so happy and content to be with Dan and Lori. Every time we visited Anna would get excited to see me. She never forgot me. The next time we visit Dan and Lori there will be hole in my heart not being able to see Anna. |

Richard our prayers go out for Robin's husband. It is 8 degrees here right now and feels like -4 with the windchill. This is the coldest it has been this winter. We will recover nicely today as we will see a high of about 34 degrees with lots of sunshine. We are half way through February and Spring should be right around the corner. |

Good morning everyone. I got up late so I am running behind. Need to get moving so I will wish everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

I have to get Murphy to the vet this morning. She was panting a lot yesterday and this morning she is really having trouble breathing and doesn't want to eat. She has that blank stare when I look at her. I am afraid I am going to lose her today. Hopefully the vet can get some fluid out of her lungs. I'm not going to have her suffer. Donna got me Murphy as a wedding present and she has been my girl for 16 years. I really hope this isn't our last trip to vet but I have a bad feeling.
