Good morning everyone. Sounds like Pickles is making progress. We will keep her in our prayers as well as you and Patty. I am in so much pain it's hard to do anything. It's hard to sleep and when I get up in the morning I feel as if I have been in a hundred mile foot race. I am going to the doctor this morning for blood work and go back next week to see if they have come up with anything. Monday I have eye surgery. Hopefully all will be well and I will have my full vision back. I wish everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them 2016 Ford F250 King Ranch Crew Cab 6.7 Power Stroke 2015 Montana Model 3611 with 4400 Pullrite Hitch. So glad to hear Pickles is feeling better. Richard, I hope the Dr. can figure out what is causing your pain. We had another cold night here in North Carolina. It got down to 36 degrees. Monty woke me up whining this morning. He rarely ever whines so it got my attention. I figured he needed to go out so I took him out around 6am and he did his business. Went back to bed and he started whining again. I got up and noticed the water bowl was empty. I filled the water bowl and he drank the whole bowl! I felt so bad that he was thirsty and didn't have any water. I usually always check the water bowls before we go to bed. We went to the Cherokee Casino yesterday morning. I had not been there is almost 20 years. My gosh is it big now! 150,000 square feet and several restaurants and a bowling alley. I only spent $20 gambling and cashed in $30 so I'm up ten. That usually doesn't happen to me. I don't know how Donna did and I didn't ask! We ate lunch at an Irish place in Sylva yesterday. We took a wrong turn and ended up driving on some small back roads in the country. It was a really pretty drive. Then we went to my friends house in Franklin for a visit. We are going back over there tomorrow night for dinner. We are leaving for Florida on Saturday morning and they are leaving on Sunday. They are going back to Florida for the winter. Not sure what we are doing today. It's supposed to be beautiful with a high temp in the upper 60s. Been a really nice trip so far. Met with the surgeon today. He could not get the ligament to move. Suggested we keep her calm for the next six weeks to let the scar tissue strengthen to hold ligament in place. Gave us traxodone to keep her relaxed so she does not jump and get excited. We will just give her that when we know that will happen. He said short walking to do her business will be OK. He said this his first case that he could not get the ligament to move after being diagnosed. He did say he felt hard tissue around the ankle are and the Achilles. After we got home from the clinic Pickles appears to be hurting. The Vet really worked on her leg and I think she is feeling pain and discomfort from that. She will only take few steps and then stop. * This post was last edited 10/24/19 01:26pm by Toolguy5 * Dan & Patty Miss Pickles the Pomeranian Princess Rainbow Bridge 8/8/2023 2020 GMC 3500 Sierra Denali 6.6 Duramax / Allison tranny 2021 Jayco Eagle 319MLOK BWRVK 3710 companion Maddy the Pampered Pom @ Rainbow Bridge 12-3-2013 |

He could not get the ligament to move when he examined her today. He said there maybe scar tissue starting to build and holding it in place. That is why she is on basically bed rest for 6 weeks to give it more time. He said this is his first case that he is holding off on surgery to repair. This is because the ligament appears to be holding in place. |

Good morning everyone. Hope Pickles continues to heal and no surgery is needed. Well we have two maybe three cats here now. The neighbor has brought in cats to help control the rodents, so he says. However since we have been here we have seen two chipmunks, a squirrel, one skunk and a few Black snakes. He doesn't feed them well enough saying keeping them hungry makes them hunt for food. So Sue and I have been putting out food for them and they have now become our cats. I put a bed on the front porch and the male and one female have made it theirs. They snuggle together on the bed at night and guard the front door. I guess we will end up putting a cat house on the front porch to protect them from the winter cold. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

We are on our last day of vacation. The last two days were beautiful. Today it’s overcast with a 50 percent chance of rain. We will be getting up early tomorrow morning and I hope to be on the road by 7am. I have over 600 miles to drive to make it home. Work has left me alone since Monday. There is no cell service here which is wonderful. They do have Wifi so I am able to post and check in with Mom. Murphy is being spoiled and will probably not want to come home and leave her grandma. Wish we could stay up here another few days but work won’t allow. My 3 weeks of vacation a year sure do go by quick..... |
