I just got a notification from Gary's Facebook page prompting me to wish him a happy birthday today. He would have been 70 years old today. [emoticon]

Good morning everyone. It was foggy when we left yesterday, especially when we got into the mountains. Our drive was pleasant all the way home. We did experience some rain along the way, no more than a drizzle. Now that we are home I am sad that our visit is over. We had a good time even if I did experience some discomfort with my leg and shoulder muscles.

It was great to see Burch and Donna along with the niece Rachael. Marsden, Doug, Sandy, Walter and Garland thank you so much for attending and thank you for your support through out the years. For those who weren't able to attend we missed you and wish you well.

We got the camper unloaded and parked on it's pad. Sometime today I will dump the holding tanks and let it rest for a few weeks before we make our way to Ohio to visit Dan and Lori.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

We received a lot of rain last night at Riverside. It's still raining now and I have a feeling it will be raining on us during our trip later this morning. We are going to run to the grocery store in a few minutes and then will be heading to North Carolina. I believe checkout isn't until noon so I have time to get some things done.

I wish I would have been able to meet Gary before he passed. I know he went to a lot of the rallies in the past. My job gets in the way and has caused me to miss many trips.

Speaking of work, they drove me crazy yesterday afternoon and evening. I put in for this vacation a year ago so it's not like they didn't know I was leaving. Once we get to Whittier, NC, I hope the cell service is limited so I can enjoy the rest of our vacation.

We made it to North Carolina. We are staying near Cherokee, NC. Donna is happy as the casino is less than 10 minutes away.

The motorhome did great driving through the mountains. The tow haul mode worked good going downhill and I only had to tap the brakes a few times. The Ford V10 did a good job.

It is supposed to be in the 30's the next two nights so I guess the furnace will get a workout. Living in Florida, we don't use the furnace too often. We also have a fireplace in the motorhome that we can use.

Burch there is a Mexican restaurant in the little shopping center close to the grocery store. Good food. It can get cold in Cherokee this time of year so be prepared. Glad you had a good trip over the mountains. When you leave HWY 74 is a nice drive all the way back to interstate 40.

Good morning FOOFs

It is cold this morning! Us Florida folks aren't used to temps in the 30s. I put the furnace on 62 degrees last night and I think I will add a couple of degrees to it tonight. Was still cooler than I'd like in the motorhome. I cranked up the heat this morning and it's nice and warm now.

We are going to the Casino this morning and then will play tourist in Cherokee for awhile. My next door neighbor in Florida has a summer home in Franklin, NC. His place is only 17 miles from Tuckaseegee RV park where we are staying. He brought us some firewood yesterday afternoon. We are going to go see his house and visit later on today. We are leaving to head back to Florida on Saturday and he is going to winterize his house and head back to Florida on Sunday for the winter.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone. Yep flatlanders find it cold in the mountains this time of year. It gets colder later on when winter really sets in.

here in the foot hills it gets cold quick when the sun goes down and the cold air comes down from the mountains. I have lots of firewood this year so we will be set for a while. I love the fireplace, especially on the cold winter days when you can snuggle in and feel the heat from the glowing fire. Izzie loved it also. He would get on his bed in front of the fireplace and stay there most of the day and sleep there during the night.

Burch have a great day and enjoy the time you have with family. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

We take Pickles today for a consultation for surgery. We are hoping that after the examination today he will not recommend surgery.
Pickles has been doing much better. Yesterday morning she started being Pickles again. She was full of energy and went to her toy box and pulled out a toy and wanted me to play with her. This is the first time she did this since hurting herself.
She was out in the yard with me for a while in the morning following me around like she used to. Took her for a ride and she was excited and would not stand still to get her harness and coat on. Although later in the evening she was in a little pain as she calmed down a lot and was sleeping.
This morning when I got up she got out of her bed and went to the front door to go out and take care of business. This is the first time since she hurt herself she did this.

So we have questions for the surgeon today, and hopefully we will not have to put her through it.
