Our Peaches was almost seventeen when she passed to the Bridge. She was still full of energy, but she was suffering from dementia. blind in one eye and almost deaf. She was such a fun loving girl.

Arrived at JP Coleman State Park in Iuka, Mississippi last this afternoon. Uneventful trip so far, just the way I like it. We can check into Piney Grove tomorrow not far from here. Think we are headed to Red Bay first to see if we can find any jacks for the motorhome there.

That poor little kitty sounds like coyote feed to me. Wish the owners would take more responsibility for her and keep her in.

I wish we could send some of the water we have to those of you who are in need!!

We're not in an area subject to flooding (like those around every river in the Midwest) but our ground is soggy.

Lake Michigan is 2 feet above normal levels for this time of year. Most rivers are at, near or above flood stage and will be until fall.

Another major problem is that farmers can't plant their crops. By this time in normal years we have over 90 percent of corn planted and we're only at 30 percent here in Indiana. I suspect some fields may not get planted this year due to weather and the unsure markets because of potential tariff policies. I wouldn't want to be a farmer right now.

Good morning everyone. We are still dry, but there is hope of rain today through Monday. It's not been as hot lately with temps in the 80's. Yesterday started out in the 60's and stayed that way up into mid morning. Dr. Doug When we would travel through Indiana and see the corn fields, it's amazing to look out over the miles and miles of corn, just as far as the eye can see. Hopefully the weather will break and the farmers can plant their drops this year.

Sue is out with Suzie and Dixie for their morning walk. It's nice outside right now with the temperature at 71 degrees.

Our trip to Michigan has hit a snag, so we will have to work out some other dates in July. I got a pneumonia shot yesterday and my arm is sore this morning. Other than that I am well. Sue is doing great, so much energy and so full of life.

Okay I am going to close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. We got some rain last night, but not enough. Today looks as if we will get more and tomorrow we are expected to get three inches. It's 70* right now, very pleasant outside.

Sue just left with Suzie and Dixie going for their morning walk. As usual Lizzie is sitting in the window sill watching Sue and the girls walk down the road. She will watch until they get back and then she will talk with Sue wanting to know where have you been?

June 6th 1944 was the day Troops stormed Normandy Beach. Today we celebrate that day as this marked the beginning of the end of WWII. Lets us remember those who gave their lives for freedom and an end of Hitler's Germany.

We have so much to be thankful for and I praise God for those who serve our Country in the military. Let us pray that all of our service men and women come home safe.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

I visited Normandy in 2007. I have always been a WWII history buff. I visited all the landing beaches, pointe du hoc and the cemeteries. The American cemetery in France is beautiful. It took my breath away seeing all the crosses and stars of David. It was very emotional and I get teary eyed just typing about it. America's greatest generation.

Good morning everyone and happy anniversary to Pickles. It's raining this morning and it's 68 degrees. We need the rain as it was very dry. The weather man says it is going to rain for the next three days so maybe the lawns and flowing plants will get some relief.

The fur gang is well. They went out this morning in the rain and didn't tarry long before coming back in. Lizzie is being playful this morning, into everything she can get into.

Sue is well, up and working already. We have a Hummingbird sitting on top of the feeder as if something is wrong with him. Sue says he has just flown away. maybe he didn't want to get wet and found a dry spot to rest in for a while.

Okay I hope everyone is well and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug fro me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
