Good morning everyone. It rained all day yesterday, very hard at times. Today we can expect 3-4 inches of rain according to the weather forecast. I am having a difficult time this morning. I just can't get going for some reason. This morning I discovered for the past few days I have been taking the wrong medication. The bottles are alike and the pills are close in appearance, so I was taking an antibiotic instead of the pills for my prostate. So I put the antibiotic in a place I won't mistakenly do that again. My eye sight isn't getting any better either. Things off in a distance are blurred more in bright light. Sun glasses seem to help so I guess I will be wearing them more often. The fur gang is well this morning. Our new neighbors cats are liking our house and yard more lately. Last night two of them were hanging around our back yard. They are friendly and want attention, but Dixie and Suzie want to chase them. It has started raining again so I guess Sue won't be walking with the girls this morning. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. 2016 Ford F250 King Ranch Crew Cab 6.7 Power Stroke 2015 Montana Model 3611 with 4400 Pullrite Hitch. Richard, we used to care for a feral cat when we had our house. Our two Scotties loved to chase her off the deck. I felt badly because I would feed her and provided her a warm hut for the winter and the dogs chased her. I could never touch or pet her, she didn't allow it. One day I let the dogs out and she was on the deck. They quickly gave chase, but this time Miss Kitty didn't run. She arched her back up and I thought, "Oh no, we're going to have a fight." She mewed demurely and you never saw two dogs put on the brakes so fast. They almost ran into her, but they got stopped. Then she reached out with her face and touched noses with them. I thought carnage would ensue, but I was wrong. From that day on, they were all three friends. I have pictures of them laying together in the sun on the porch. She would follow them around in the yard. She would rub on them and they let her. It was so cute. When we sold our house, I arranged for a neighbor to care for her, but before we left she disappeared. She was an old cat to begin with, so I assume she died. But I learned a lesson about animals with her. Good morning everyone. It's still raining and cool this morning. The rain is supposed to stay with us through out the day. That's okay because we really needed it. The lawn is beginning to turn green and the yard plants look much better. A lady in our social blog posted a picture of a cat saying it had taken up at their house and she needed to find it's owner. I asked about her giving it a home as the cat had chosen them, but she said her child was allergic to cats. She will see if the cat has a chip on Monday. I asked her to post pictures in the neighborhood and local stores to see if someone would claim it. The fur gang is well this morning. With the rain Sue won't be taking them for a walk this morning. Well prove me wrong, Sue just left with Dixie and Suzie, says it isn't raining that much. I hope all is well with everyone and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

Good Morning FOOFs We finally got some rain this weekend. It had been almost a month since we got any rain. Between Saturday night and Sunday night, we got almost 3 inches. My yard was really brown and crunchy but I can already see some green coming through the brown grass. Murphy had her yearly vet appointment on Saturday. She was due for her rabies and other vaccinations. They only gave her half the vaccinations and she has to go back in 3 weeks for the 2nd dose. The vet thought she was doing very well for her age. She turned 16 last week and still gets along great. She was in a playful mood yesterday. I love seeing her still full of life in her old age. I hope everyone has a great day! Good morning everyone. Being on the lazy side this morning. Didn't get up until well after seven this morning, Now t is almost nine and I still haven't showed and dressed. Sue is out with the girls for their morning walk. It was still raining when we got up but for now it has stopped. It is very overcast and looks as if it will continue to rain. Our high temperature Wednesday will be 68 degrees. How that that for a high in June? The low for Wednesday night will be 59 degrees, bring out the covers that have been put away for the summer. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. Just got a phone call and the guy that works on my 72 Lincoln is coming to pick it up and trailer it back to his shop. I have been afraid to drive it because of a vibration in it, couldn't figure out what is wrong with it so I am going to let the professional handle it. |

One of our neighbors Lab ran away when the gate to their back yard was left open. Brady is ten years old, guess it was his first taste of freedom. He has been gone a week now with no sign of him any where.

This is why I keep my gates locked. Just the other day I found a little Chihuahua walking down our street as I was out for my evening walk. I picked him up and one of my neighbors pulled up and told me where he belonged. As I walked to his house I noticed the side gate was open, I looked in but no one was there. I pulled it shut and went around to the front door. They didn't even know he was gone. Evidently their yard maintenance crew left it open. This is why I do my own yard work and keep my gates locked. They got rid of the crew and now have locks on their gates.

Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. The temperature is 69 degrees right now. Tomorrow morning we are supposed to be in the upper 50's with a high of 61 degrees. This is June in the Deep South, my gosh what a swing in temperatures. This weather is crazy. Sue is out with Dixie and Suzie while Lizzie the cat is on the back of the couch watching out the window. She will stay there until Sue gets back with the girls. I guess she wonders why she doesn't get to go. Anyway she will have a talk with Sue when she gets back. Yesterday the guys that work on the 72 Lincoln came and picked it up to take it back to their shop to work on it. I was afraid to drive it because of the vibration. I can't figure out what is going on with it so they brought an enclosed trailer to put it in to take it to their shop. It's amazing the work these guys do. They are not cheap, but they know what they are doing. They don't work on every day driving cars, only the exotic and antique cars. I have seen some beautiful old cars there. Recently they had an old Chrysler Woody convertible, you know the old Chrysler that had wood on the sides. Okay Sue is back with the girls and Lizzie is satisfied they are back. I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |
