It seems a little callous to me for the neighbor to leave that poor little dog outside knowing there are coyotes in the area. He should not have a dog if he doesn't care about her. Just my 2 cents. Good morning everyone. When the Mom and children are home Lily is taken care of, it's when they go out of town that Lily is kind of left unattended. The Mom and children have gone to Kentucky to visit her folks and the Dad is home. Yesterday I didn't see nor hear her at all which is kind of unusual. Well it is hot and is going to stay that way for a while. No rain in sight and temps in the 90's all next week. The fur gang is very happy to stay indoors during the day, but want to get out for a walk late in the evening. I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. I'm glad to be home out of the heat. I keep the A/C on in the camper just to keep things from getting too hot. If it is 99 degrees like it was yesterday then inside the camper would be over 100+ and I don't think that is good over a long period of time. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. 2016 Ford F250 King Ranch Crew Cab 6.7 Power Stroke 2015 Montana Model 3611 with 4400 Pullrite Hitch. Good morning everyone. This morning was a first for me. About 4:am I woke up with shortness of breath. Every time I lay down I felt I could breath so I ended up in the lounge chair in the living room. I was able to get some rest, but still this morning I feel tired, When Sue got up she let the girls out and Dixie came to the sliding glass doors and saw me in the chair and started barking. She didn't stop until Sue let her in. She was upset that I wasn't in my regular place taking care of her. The weather is very hot and no rain in sight. Today I plan to take it easy and just rest, no outside activities for me. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. Memorial Day should be a time of remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our country. Remembering those families that have lost loved ones should be a high priority on everyone's list. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

Garland, Inga and I are gonna be going to Branson for a wedding in September. It'll be like old home week, as we are staying at the ABC campground, site of the original OFR. The lady I talked to asked how I had heard of ABC, so I explained about the OFR way back when. She said she remembered that quite well, as she was there then. ![]() ![]() Walter & Garland - Camp Canine caretakers Miss Inga (aka "Shorty") - 10 y.o. old GSD. Gen. I'm sorry about this development Richard. I think shortness of breath as we get older is always cause for concern but doesn't always mean something is wrong. I hope you will check with your doctor. A visit to a cardiologist may be appropriate. A friend recently was going through this. She ended up with a heart cath and everything was normal. So she is looking at some lifestyle changes. . . more exercise, etc. I hope you are feeling better. Dale |

Good morning everyone. Got a good night's sleep last night, feel pretty good this morning. The weather is hot and dry, no rain in a while now. Our new neighbor's yard is all brown after looking so pretty. Ours is still green but is showing signs of stress. Have a guy coming over this morning to replace the water pump on the camper. Jeff, son in law, is coming over to help replace some of the flooring on the wooden deck. Other than that, nothing else going on. Talked with Gandy Dan last night. He and Lori are doing well. Haven't talked with Dan and Party lately. They were camping at a relative's house for the Memorial Day weekend, maybe they are home by now. Walter how are you and Garland doing? What about Dr. Doug and Sandy, how are you? Dale I hope you and Terry are okay. Burch where did you go for the weekend? Haven't heard from Art and Rosie in a long time. Ag teacher where are you? OkayI need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

Dixie Flyer wrote: ![]() Burch where did you go for the weekend? We spent last week on vacation in the motorhome. We stayed at Lake Whippoorwill last weekend. My niece and her boyfriend came up for a visit and fished on the lake. They caught several fish and seemed to have a good time. I am really going to miss the Lake Whippoorwill KOA. We have been going for years but they sold to a developer and aren't taking reservation after next April. I don't know if I will be able to make it back before then. We headed to Fort Wilderness on Monday morning and stayed until Friday morning. We really enjoyed Fort Wilderness but my wallet is hurting. It was one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in but at $155 a night was expensive. We rented a golf cart for the week and that made it nice. We drove down to the lake each night to see the fireworks. We saw all 4 parks in 3 days so each night we were exhausted. We left Fort Wilderness on Friday morning and headed to Lazy Days resort in Tampa for just Friday night so Donna could hit the Hard Rock casino. We then came home Saturday morning. I parked the motorhome in the driveway overnight so I could get the love bugs cleaned off. I didn't get to many on the way home but I got plastered with them on the way to Fort Wilderness. We just stayed at home on Sunday and Monday. I didn't sleep much last night thinking about having to go back to work so I am really dragging this morning. We have another trip planned around the 4th of July and nothing planned so far for June. I am going to have to take Murphy to the vet. She has developed a cough. She seems to be feeling OK but I want to make sure nothing is going on. The problem is Donna and my work schedules make it hard to take her to the vet during the week. I am going to see if my mom can take her. I hope everyone has a great day! Burch 2018 Miramar 35.3 Motorhome 3 fur kids (Monty, ZuZu and Pinto) Rainbow bridge (Murphy, Petie, Lola) |
