Good morning everyone. Summer has finally gotten here. It's going to be 90 degrees here today. We could use some rain as things are drying out.

Dixie has a lump on her tail close to her butt, she won't hold her tail up so I know it is bothering her. I am wondering if I should take her to the vet or wait and see what develops? Suzie's leg is okay now and she has taken all of her meds so I guess we will wait and see how she does.

Over the weekend two bears killed a dog in his own back yard strange to say the least. It seems the critters are on the move as we have seen more activity from the wildlife in the area. Allison saw a Copperhead snake at her house, Sue and I have seen two Black Snakes in our yard, had two Coyotes sightings in the past week and bears are coming down from the mountains into neighborhoods.

I guess as more of their habitat is being taken by construction of homes and business the wildlife has no where to go but to venture into these areas where people are.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them

Good morning everyone. Wednesday I go to see the doctor who is supposed to be doing the surgery on my eye. I don't know what to expect. So I will be cautious and listen to what he says. The fear is the surgery could possibility tear a hole in the retina and there is no fixing that. Only God knows what the outcome will be so I am trusting Him for the right decision.

Sue just left with Suzie and Dixie going for their morning walk. Lizzie was in the window sill but has moved to the back of the couch looking out the window waiting on the girls to come back.

I am going to visit one of our shut in church member today to give them communion. The deacon ministry in the church is doing a great job under the leadership of Dr. Bob. He is the best pastor I have ever worked with. At eight-one years old he is still going strong. I tell him when I grow up I want to be just like him.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. Today Sue and I go to the eye doctor for another pre=op. I will get the okay or the nay for the surgery on my right eye.

The fur gang is well this morning. Our neighbors left sometime during the day yesterday and Lilly was left outside. after it got dark she came over and wanted in, so I let her in where she stayed until her folks returned home sometime around 10:30. She is a smart little girl and makes us her second home. She often comes over for a visit and a treat. She won't stay long, just enough time to go through the house and look things over, get a treat and then go home.

I hope everyone has a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them

We have been staying at Ft. Wilderness since Monday night. What a nice campground! However, you better bring a pocketbook full of money to stay here. I knew it would be expensive but my goodness.

The first night we were here, I went outside around dusk and some yellow flies bit me several times. Two of them got me on the middle finger on my right hand. My finger looks horrible. Two huge red spots and my finger is really swollen. I got bit on two other fingers and they are swollen as well but they only got one bite. I also got a couple bites on my legs. I wasn't outside more than 5 minutes before they attached me. My right hand is really sore and also itches. Hopefully it will get better in a day or two.

Richard I hope all goes well with your eye. Please keep us informed.

Dr. Myers told me today it was too risky to do surgery right now. He wants to see me in four months for another look.

Good morning everyone. I talked with Dandy Dan last night he and Lori are doing okay. They have retired from camping and sold their fifth wheel. I hope they will be able to join us in Sevierville next October hopefully renting a cabin. I will miss Anna as she is such a part of the Old Fella story. She and Suzie will be thirteen years old this coming June. I can still see them running and playing together in the back yard in Waynesboro. Those were some fun filled days. Those two dogs loved each other so much they didn't need anyone else. It was sad for me to say goodbye to Anna, but I knew she was going to a wonderful home with Dan and Lori. Anna has never forgotten me in all of these years.

Sue and the girls just got back from their walk. Lizzie was waiting for them as she sat in the window sill watching as they approached the house. That cat loves Sue so much. She loves Dixie, but not so fond of Suzie and the feeling is mutual.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Look what we found.

Good morning everyone. We are trying to find a home for the black Lab that lost his human. I have several prospects so hopefully he will be rehomed soon.

It is going to be a hot one today as the thermometer will climb to 94 degrees. Time to bring the pets inside to escape the heat. I am replacing the water pump in the camper to one that is much quieter and has better pressure.

We don't have any plans to go anywhere any time soon as we have obligations at the church and, yes doctors appointments. We went to a gathering in Greenville last night to honor those who minister to the school children in Greenville county. It was a good gathering and we got to meet those involved in other schools.

I am being pulled into the rescue business here at home. Little by little I am being sought out to help with rehoming pets that have lost their homes for one reason or another. Cheryl Price has reached out to me several times to help with her efforts to find homes for strays lodged at the shelter in Matthews South Carolina near Columbia. There is always a need when it comes to folks who don't take care of the animals they have in their care.

Last night I had a strange thing happen. I went out to put feed in the bird feeder. There was a small Sparrow sitting on the feeder perch and he wouldn't move. I picked up the feeder with him on it, put feed in it, with him still sitting on it and placed it back on the stand, with him still sitting on it. I watched him for a while before we left to go to Greenville as he sat there very still. When we got home last night I went out to the feeder to see if he were still there and I found him on the ground about eight feet from the feeder dead. Makes me wonder what was wrong with him.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. It is hot here in the Deep South as temperatures soar into the mid 90's. It has not rained and the forecast doesn't call for any.

The camper is sitting in the back yard waiting for our next trip, but I don't see us going anywhere anytime soon. I just don't have the energy to do anything when its so hot outside. Last night there was a lot of barking going on as if something was outside. We could hear Lilly barking as she was left outside while the neighbors weren't home. Finally she came to our house and wanted in so she spent the night with us. I did call our neighbor to let him know we had Lilly and he said he wouldn't be home until around 11:30 so it would be okay if Lilly spent the night with us. We have Coyotes in the neighborhood lately so I am afraid for Lilly to stay outside with no one at home to look after her. Anyway she was happy to be with us and slept in the bed with me until I got up around 2:am and then she went to her bed.

I don't have any plans for any work today so I guess the day will be spent with a trip to Walmart pharmacy and then staying inside with the A/C where it will be cool.

Okay I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
