Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful morning here in the Deep South. It was 45 degrees when we got up this morning. The forecast is for sunshine and temps in the 70's. Hope Murphy is doing okay. Walter are you home yet? The new mower was delivered yesterday and I mowed part of the lawn, This mower is much more responsive than the Cub Cadet. It turns quicker and is much faster, so I need to put on my driver's helmet and put seat belts on it. The fur gang is well and out with Sue for their walk. The other part of the fur gang is watching form the window as they make their way down the street. Lizzie is a nice kitty. She loves to chase bits of paper and will dig through Sue's purse to find receipts and then she will play with them until Dixie steals them for herself. Suzie thinks all of this is beneath her dignity, child's play, so she watches from a distance. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

Good Morning FOOFs Murphy is doing better. She looks like she got into a fight and has a black eye. She is back to about 80% of her old self. She is still a little wobbly on her hind legs but I have to remember she is no spring chicken anymore. When I got home from work last night she ran over to me and gave me kisses. That made my day. I hope everyone has a great day! Burch 2018 Miramar 35.3 Motorhome 3 fur kids (Monty, ZuZu and Pinto) Rainbow bridge (Murphy, Petie, Lola) |

Murphy is pretty much back to normal now. I was so happy this morning! I was in the shower and I heard Murphy barking in the kitchen. I went to the kitchen and she was looking at a can of dog food my wife had put on the counter top. We usually feed our dogs dried food but we have been giving Murphy some canned food in the mornings since her mouth is tender. She was all fired up and waiting for me to feed her. She is also walking much better. The last few days she was a little wobbly with her hind legs but she was much better this morning. Just seeing her walk across the family room this morning made me smile. We are driving to Immokalee, FL after work for the weekend. The Hard Rock has a hotel/casino in Immokalee and they sent my wife tickets to see KC and the Sunshine band and the Village People and a free room. I had no idea these 70s bands were still around? The hotel has 12 RV spots with electric but it's first come first serve. With all the snowbirds here in Florida I didn't want to take the chance of driving 2 hours and not getting a spot. Plus, the hotel room is free. My adult nice is coming to stay at our house and watch the dogs. Murphy loves Rachael so she will be happy and in good hands. I hope everyone has a great day and a great weekend. Burch |

Good morning everyone. Burch I am glad Murphy is doing good and I hope you enjoy your weekend. It was raining this morning when we got up, a welcomes sight as we needed it. Sue got up at 3am to take her friend Mary to the airport for her flight back to Grand Rapids. she seemed to enjoy her stay as she and Sue talked for hours catching up on years worth of happenings. Mary and Sue went to school together and Sue is Mary's daughter God Mother. I am glad they had this time together. Suzie had to be watched as she would surprise Mary at times with a bark or a look of what are you doing in my house? Mary learned to accept Suzie's stares and pranks but she was always looking for the unexpected from her. We went to Brevard North Carolina yesterday so Mary could get a look at some of the mountains we have here. It is a beautiful drive and at the end of the trip there are some very nice places to have lunch. HWY 276 is not one to pull a heavy fifth wheel on. There is a State Park at Caesar's Head but it's for those with a strong heart and a dare devil attitude. It's mostly for popups, tents and small campers. The overlook is beautiful in the fall and spring when the mountains are full of color. The fur gang is well this morning, waiting on the rain to stop so they can go for a walk. It's 55 degrees right now so it's not cold. I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

No, he has to eat plastic. We are now vigilant about keeping any bit of plastic away from him. I can just envision the surgeries in his future... Thankfully, Rudy doesn't have Pica. He just likes to tear his toys completely apart and scatter the filling around the house. He must have caught sight of a dog doing that while at the shelter. ![]() "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." -- Mahatma Gandhi Czarny, black cat Rainbow Bridge: Spotacus, Alexander the Grrreat, and so very many more |
