We decided to leave Charlotte a little earlier than usual as rain and snow and a mix was forecast. Traffic was moderate since it was still rush hour, but we made it through and got all the way to Charlottesville without any weather incident, except it was cold. We stopped once for fuel because we didn't want to sit for 10 days with a low diesel tank.

Got to visit with the family for a bit before coming home and crashing. Man was I tired after 3 grueling days of driving.

Murphy has awhile to get back to her normal self. The poor thing was/is in a lot of pain. Her face was so swollen that she could only open her right eye about half way. The vet said when he was taking out one of the roots from the abscessed tooth, that it was like a river coming out of her jaw from the infection. He said it's the worse abscess he has seen. He said there was another tooth directly on the other side of her mouth that was cracked and starting to abscess so he took that tooth out. The vet asked if she had bit down on something hard like concrete. I said, who knows, she is a Jack Russell and Jack Russell's are stubborn and hard headed. They do what they want! She ended up having 3 teeth removed and she got a pedicure while she was under. They also cleaned all her remaining teeth. I can't believe how fast her face swelled up. She looked fine on Sunday morning. I noticed her face starting to swell up late Sunday afternoon and by Monday morning it was really bad.

She was very wobbly last night from all the meds and from being put under. Murphy's hind legs have gotten stiff over the last several months. Some days I don't notice it but other days it looks like she walks like a robot. Last night if she was standing, it was almost like she was half sitting. This morning she must be getting her strength back as she was getting around a lot better. Hopefully she will get back to herself after the next few days. She has about a week of meds to take.

Thanks for all the thoughts put our way for Murphy. She is my baby and I am so glad she is home.

Glad Murphy is feeling better this morning.

Our little one is only going on 8 and it took her almost 2 days to be herself after having 4 teeth pulled and the rest cleaned.

Dan, we're bringing the warm weather north with us [emoticon] We're in KY now due home next week.

How is the moving going?

Burch - glad Murphy is on the mend. It does take a while for the body to deal with both the infection and the stress of anesthesia.
