It is now a little after noon and I about to leave for the park. I had to run to the vet's and get some sedatives and some advise on how to handle the dog as it looks as if I will be going by myself again. I have waited here at hone for two hours on someone who promised to help, but----. So I am about to borrow a dog box to put him in once I gain control of him and then I will be on my way. I will talk with everyone later this evening

I wish I could go with you.

Dixie Flyer, thank you for making every effort to retrieve Old Fellow. He sounds like a sweet kind of guy that just needs some friendly arms to wrap around him. Of course, your efforts also deserve lots of hugs.

Sometimes I wish my pets could talk, for just a minute or so, even. Or, that they could understand me, for just a minute of so. Haven't figured out exactly what I would say though ... I wonder what they would say? "hate that food, love camping, why does that guy in that strange office need to poke around me when I'm feeling just fine ... " Gee, this might be a good thread to start ...

Once again I was chasing a ghost. I drove all over the park and no sign of him. Maybe after yesterday he is avoiding me. The folks at the office said they hadn't seen him today either. I won't be able to go back now until Monday morning. Maybe by then I will be able to find someone to help me handle him once I am able to catch him. The vet has agreed to help me with the bill once we are able to get him there. He said he would fix his teeth so they would be like new and treat him for whatever else he might need if I would pay half the bill. I agreed.

So now we will have to wait until Monday to see how all of this works out. Thanks for the encouragement.
