You might want to call Monaco Service...(877) 466-6226. It is helpful if you have your coach #.

I just did a quick search on eBay for RV tail light lens and found listings like Reflect-o-lite #1400 or Bargman 34-92-012. I'm fairly sure that RVision nor Holiday Rambler created their own. If you had the manufacturer and part number, places like eBay might have some for sale. 2002 Trail-Lite Model 211-S w/5.7 Chevy (click View Profile) Gene |

Retractable Steps: I have been concerned about failure of our electric retractable steps. Found Kwikee Step Lube in a can sort of like WD40 and use it about every 6 months to coat anything that moves. So far so good. Hope it stays that way. |

I broke mine twice.mine used a Hella "caravan" lens. If you go to their website with the number that's on the lens you might get lucky.

No, quite the opposite on the lubes. You don't want a penetrating oil like WD40 or PB Blaster. Those are too light and short-lived. The steps lube is more like motorcycle chain oil. It goes on light, penetrates, and thickens up to last a long time. I suspect spray lithium grease would be good too. I used an old can of PJ1 chain lube on mine and it worked great.
Currently RV-less but not done yet. |

In this posting - Replacement lens for MH hoc2000 wrote: And in this posting, we have read -I posted a problem about a broken tail light lens on my 2008 Holiday Rambler, Augusta 293TS. Because Monaco is in bankrupcy three different dealers were searching for the part for a month. One of the forum readers said the part might be identical to lens used on Trail Lite MH. The lens was used on Trail Lite was one digit off on the part number. It was almost identical. I did find out that the lens was made by Hella (a company in Finland). I emailed Hella about my problem. Yesterday, I got a call from Lazydays that they located a distributer in GA that had the lens. Lazydays said that they would have to order the part and the shipping to them and send it to me with an additional shipping charge. Cost of the lens is $110.00 plus two shipping charges. I can't complain about the cost cause otherwise my MH would not pass inspection next month. Today, I received an answer to my email from Hella. They sent me drawings of the lens and verified it would fit my MH. They gave me a phone number of a distributer who had it in stock in Peachtree,Ga. and also what part number to order. Since I have already bought the lens from Lazydays, I won't go to the Hella distributer. I have a hunch I would have saved a couple bucks. Since Hella makes quite few of the tail light for MH, I recommend that anyone needind a tail light or lens check with Hella, especially if the manufacturer is in bankruptcy or out of business. 2wheelluge wrote: I need a taillight lens for my 2007 HR 213. Time to bump this great thread. Back last May, I purchased a 2001 Trail-Lite Model 210 (w/ Chevy 5.7L) and am currently vacationing in it. Traveling from IL to FLA I got ~11 MPG doing pretty much the speed limit. So far, all systems work, but I have to look at either a water system leak or rain infiltration behind the drivers seat. I think these units from this era are a great value if one is looking for a used MH. All for now... Mike in IL 2001 Trail-Lite B-Plus 211 w/ 5.7L Chevy

Check the inlet tubing for the water tank, ours was tight but, clamped in the spiral winding, I replaced it with a piece of tubing with a "flat" area for clamping.

mstanis wrote: Welcome to the small group of Trail Lite motorhome owners. You are number 117 on my list of forum members who at one time have admitted to owning one. We also think it is one of those best kept secrets. Our's has been fun to own with no major problem and we bought ours new. The unit is the right size for that Chevy. We usually take the slow lane and cruise about 5-10 mph below the limit. With that we have an overall mpg average of 12.1 miles per gallon.Time to bump this great thread. Does your floorplan look like this? - ![]() I am just guessing that your fresh water tank is under the couch behind the drivers seat. It could very well be that you have a leak in that area. The one piece fiberglass cap that fits over the one piece fiberglass side makes a rain water leak hard to hide. You should be able to see the cracked fiberglass. Also that rubber roof wraps over the side walls about 4" making it tough for rain water to leak upward (anti-gravity) inside your motorhome. You might try creating your own pressure test. I have always planned on taking my leaf blower and setting it up so it takes outdoor air and blows it inside the RV through a window. All you need is to create a slight pressure difference between the outside and the inside. Then use a windex type bottle filled with soapy water and spritz it on possible cracks and look for soap bubbles.
