I plan on painting it in the spring (warmer weather) but I can't decide what graphics pattern to go with. I'd love to do a full paint job like some of the newer rigs shown in the thread.

You have a sharp looking Rig.
IMHO it looks great all white without any graphics.

FWIW if you must add some color, consider painting it similar to our rig [emoticon] maybe beige or grey on the bottom.

I decided I'd use that deep TV bay for bedding/pillow storage instead.

I'll have more pics soon.

That a hugh storage area you gained! Nice install of the new TV.

Please post more pics, always like to view mods.

McZip, that's a nice paint job. With the right lower color, one might not have to paint the upper area at all. My '86 Blazer was light grey bottom and white on top, I got lots of complements on it.
TV box: I built mine with the idea of gaining storage as well. My original design had a bracket/shelf affair to hold the new flatscreen. I've since added a fold down hinge and 'flush' mount bracket. Now the tv folds up against the roof of the box when underway, and we store the remotes and 3 full size pillows in there. (DW likes pillows.)

I totally agree with that! Very sharp looking rig.

I don't recall seeing any pictures of the final product. Are they in the thread somewhere?

Thanks, but the problem with all white is that it looks like a utility vehicle. I do like your color scheme. Maybe I'll go similar simple approach with gray bottom, white top.

I don't think I took pix of the new work I did. I was rushing to get ready for our aborted Florida trip. I will take new pix asap.
My color scheme on the Blazer was sortof 'new' at that time, but the gray combos have stood the test of time pretty well, while some of the 'edgier' colors are very dated looking now.

Thanks, poicking out the paint was a no brainer. Painted the same colors as 2 tone 2009 Ford Van. Saw a White and Grey SUV today, looked good.

Welcome Orion 42. I was a MMCO in a Lockheed Viking squardron, the Orion's carrier based little brother.

We love our 2003 211 T/L. We use it to visit our far flung kids/ grandkids in style. I drive the bus and the co-pilot sleeps.

My only real mod is a 24 GHz emitter mounted on the ladder facing aft. I tell people it gives us a cone of tranquility around the RV but it really only affects speeders overtaking us who have their countermeasures turned on. It provides hours of entertainment on a long trip.

Welcome aboard.

LOL...thanks Happyjack. 24 GHz countermeasures, eh? What the heck is that for?

Our maiden voyage is a trip to FL including Pensacola this winter. Looks like we had the same mission role.

Orion

We spent four days at the NAS P-cola campground near the Naval Air Museum last Christmas. It was excellent. Got choked up at some of the Nam exhibits. Wish we could do it again this year but not enought time.

24 Ghz is police K band radar. I got the idea of the emmitter going through Charlotte on a trip. Tried to change lanes and almost got nailed by some NASCAR want-to-be. Figured that if the speedsters thought a trooper was up ahead they might at least be alert and watching and see a big RV rearend. I don't know if it works but it gives me peace of mind. I've busted a gut as they go around with their head on a swivel looking for the trooper. Have fun in P-cola.
