Burl, you are driving me nuts...N V T S!!! I have no idea of the manufacturer of the Serenity cap.
You are right about Starflyte and Carrigo.
The only trouble with your reference to the outside pix of PC and Cgo is the fact that I have been in both, and the PC is much smaller inside, especially compared to the BT and T/L

Artum, yours is certainly a B+, a nice one at that. They are commonly in lengths up to 28'. Carrigo used to have a 23' one with a dedicated bed, and a few others too.

Cheeze, it is a company associated with (judging by the website) an RV builder that was formerly a maker of BIG dually vancampers from Michigan.

Hello Artum. You have a longer version of what I have - a rig indistinguishable from a standard C of comparable length, but w/ a fairly pronounced fiberglass fairing (sp) instead of an extended overcab bed and more streamlined front area, and perhaps slightly less width and heigth.

What we have is what is generally recognized and associated w/ the term 'B+' that came about in the early 2000s.

Being so much like their pure C cousins, many argue that no distinction is needed and, that there is no such thing as B+.

But they miss the point of B+ when they ignore the vancamper-like functionality that is very much desired by folks that are too confined by the existing van box.

"I know, I know!" he replied gleefully with a twinkle in his eye, "What I have is a Super B+!"

That will be defined as a B+ form missing the overcab bed, but containing a bedroom that remains as a bedroom.

Somewhere in the chain of ownerships is the producer of what was called the "Europa". I recall that they were bought by Dynamark and rebadged as the Carrigo.

Here is a link to a 1995 Europa

That is one that really made sense to me. Not as big as a Class C, but more head room than a Class B. We started our search....

Gene, I saw one at Stahmann's in New Braunfels, TX when it was a Dynamax Isata. They were way pricey and seemednarrow to us, but that was 10 years ago.

What if automakers came and went as often as RV builders (laying aside the current transition times of GM and Dodge)...

This surely is a cause/symptom/both of the lack of standards and quality control that RVIA attempts to bring to RVs. All the changes I have pictured so far in the last few days - all the companies that've come-and-went - all occurred in maybe 15-20 years time.

The chassis makers have basically remained steady, but the coach builders, like small residential contractors, just pop up and disappear.

If we were benefitting from this constant change, fine. But are we?

The only draw back, as far as I am concerned, is the sleeping arrangements in a B plus. We tried using it the way you're suppose too but hated that climbing in and out over one another too get up during the night. NOW the husband sleeps on the sofa part. I sleep on the dinning table/seat area. I am still trying too find a mattress too fit that area as it is shorter than the sofa area. Finally we have found a place that makes Lazy Boy chairs. We think we can order an 8 inch thick piece of foam too make our own mattress so too speak. I do hope that works....
We also had the exact same problem, so we purchased a single bed foam mattress. On our unit is just fits and makes the dinette very comfortable. It remains made up as a bed for evening or cat naps during the day. The jack knife couch does not reach the dinette edge on the model 211-S. So each evening, I unroll the 2" thick memory foam pad lay it on the couch toss on the pillow and covers and sleep comfortably. The pad is inside a sewn pillow case made from bedsheets. Easy enough to pull off and wash. It is stored under the dropped down dinette.
Here is a picture of the mattress -

Burl, we are benefitting!! Back in the early years of automobiles, lots of companies came and went...
As for the Europa, I got you BEAT!!! I used to have a neighbor with one!!!!

I don't know about benefitting,my 2005 Lexington this past summer has been a nightmare of expense. Quality? Yugo assembled better cars than Forest River does B+ mhs....and, rvs have been built quite a long time too, it's not like we are in the pioneering era of industry the way cars in the beginning were.

Sorry gang, I misread Burl's message. I thought he meant the conversation, not the changes. [emoticon]
Catman, don't want to rub salt in the wound, but 05 was the year we bought our T/L. We looked at the FR of that year, and did not ike the quality. I have fixed countlesss quality control problems on my rig as well.
We have been benefitting in the newer models, better use of space, better fuel economy, and other stuff?
