I started with a pretty large tent. It was stolen from me. I used the truck topper, a class C and I have my second motor home.
I never liked the actual tent part. I enjoyed the fun outside the tent, most specially the fire side with friends, cooking and of course eating.
A few years ago I bought a new tent for our grown kids to camp with us. I recently looked for he tent and concluded I no longer have it. I assume the kids took it and now I'm tentless.
Tent camping allow for cheap camping. As long as we enjoy what we do, who care?

I love tents, but my aging body does not. I now use one of mine as a guest room for the van ![[emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif "smile") .
3/4 timing in a DIY van conversion. Backroads, mountains, boondocking, sometimes big cities for a change of pace.

I was always told that if you slept more than 2 feet up off the dirt.....it wasnt camping at all.

Like most I started out with a simple tent and graduated UP. Now I have a 4 - Season tent from Cabela's.
When I travel cross country my motorcycle pulls a Roll A Home trailer; Top half tent and bottom half real floor and king-size bed

Most of our camping is done in a seasonal TENT site on one of the Finger Lakes in western New York State. RV's are not allowed on these sites. There is electricity and water but no sewer. We use a bathhouse that is a short walk away for bathroom and shower facilities. Aside from that one inconvenience everything is luxury camping. I've put together a google photo album.
It's just Mrs. SpeakEasy and me now (empty-nesters). But we can choose from among 7 grandchildren to drag along with us!

Is that a new Paha Que sleeping tent in your photos and how do you like it?
This summer we'll be camping on Indian Lake and the Saranacs. Been awhile since I camped up that way and I'm really looking forward to introducing the area to the man and grand kiddo.

Yes! Paha Que was new last year. They make quality stuff, and I like it a lot. As you can probably tell from the photos, we had a canvas Eureka cabin tent previously. Nothing could beat those, but to replace it with something similar now would cost a fortune. The Paha is much smaller, but it's big enough for the two of us.

Glad to see a thumb's up! I've owned the large PQ screen house for a bit of time (love it) and am toying with the idea of getting a small sleeping tent from the company in part based on the quality construction of my screen tent.
What size PQ did you get for the 2 of you if you don't mind saying? I need a tent that fits Fire Island National Seashore and my current tent does not.
